Much like regular season LeBron prior to going to Miami.

LeBron was 26 when he went to Miami....Harden turned 28 years old a few months ago

 

If the NBA didn’t create Harden rules....does he have that game against Utah?

Playoff Harden will stop seeking the bailout call. Seriously Harden adapts his game to whatever so easily.

 

Except Lebron was almost dominant in the playoffs...

Define “almost”

Before LeBron joined Bosh/Wade and then Love/Irving; LeBron was called a really good player that couldn’t finish.
He couldn’t shoot 3’s, make free throws and seal the deal on a finals (East has been weak for a while)

 

Difference is...

1) LeBron's defense was never questioned. Say what you want, but that goes a long way.
2) LeBron never quit

LeBron was also younger than Harden with zero college experience -- thus, more room to grow.

He usually starts more slowly.

 

Quitting is open to interpretation. I think LeBron quits every December to take two weeks off.

Harden plays every game of the season if he can.....providing the entire offense. When he sat the offense
had nothing. Irving and Love did more than people will give them credit for the last few years. Now will the
supporting cast of the Rockets be compared to the Cavs supporting cast that LeBron had before
going to the Heat. Antwan Jamison, Mo Williams, Varejo, etc. vs Gordon, Ariza, Capela,Nene (got hurt), etc.


I don’t think Harden quit (Ariza and Harden had a disagreement after game 5 and Harrell/Ryan Anderson
couldn’t replace the work Nene provided vs the Spurs big men). Again you have your belief and I have mine.
The Spurs bigs were too many and too much to handle for just Capela. Pops gave Aldridge/Gasol/Dedmon/Lee
a steady diet at the rim. Hopefully this year will be different.

 

How quick we forget he was called LeChoke.

How quick we forgot he failed and had a lot of bad games.

But most of all how quick we forget how he absolutely QUIT against Boston that game 5. And then jumps ship and builds super-friends to bail his ass out.

Now clearly he is a top 5 player of all time no debate. But he had multiple, multiple, stinkers and has quit.

 

We all know LeBron's regular season actions are nothing compared to quitting in a playoff elimination game.

He's been playing into June seven consecutive seasons. No player in league history can claim that except Russell's Celtics.

Just two seasons ago, Cavs went 0-fer in games where LeBron sat. They literally couldn't win one SINGLE game.

So you're basically saying, "Harden DID quit, he just had a good reason".

Game 6 was one of the WOAT showings in any sports' history.

Agreed though, hopefully the future holds better.

 

Choking is different than quitting. Both are bad, but quitting is worse.

LeBron backdoored Game 5 with 27/19/10 Game 6. And this was with a teammate literally f**king his mom.

Let's just hope Harden is more mature. His early production this season gives hope.
