Harden is the _ best player in the NBA today

Every time I open this thread, a lot on threads in the garm in fact, I get smacked in the face with just how stupid a lot of people are.

Having an opinion is cool but some statements around here are just... sigh.

Sucks lately that we can't be fanatics without having to listen to a lecture on team history or a comparison about x and y players .. can't we have fun anymore?

James Harden IS the best player currently and he MIGHT end up being better than Dream and MJ .. is it really that bad to say?

 

What is the point of saying that? Why not wait until his career is said and done instead?

 

there is a lot of fun when you say what you believe, and later on you can even brag about it

 

He's doing things equal to if not better .. we can't get excited about that? Isn't it fairly standard operating procedure when guys do historic things to wonder just how good they will be?

 

Remember, offense is just one side of the equation. Both Hakeem and Jordan were also great defenders and true 2-way players. Harden has made great strides in his defense this year, but he is still a long ways away.

You can get excited, but it is always smart to not get carried away. Me personally, I enjoy the present, because countless of things could disrupt the future.

Because getting carried away is always dumb.

 

okay no doubt KD was better than harden when KD was still in OKC. But he left those cats in OKC and banwagonned with a 3 star/73 win team because he cannot continue being the #1 option and have only 1 star beside him.

so what's KDs winshare this season vs Harden's winshare season?

You can look all this stuff up yourself lol. His WS this season are 8 to Harden's 11 so far. He has the most WS out of anyone on GS this season. Last year his WS/48 were better than Harden.

Idk dude look it up lol. The're 1a and 1b. Most people including myself would agree that KD is a better basketball player overall. Kerr said this himself lol. It really isn't that big a deal so I'm done with this back and forth.

you pointed to hardens lack of d as the argument against him being equal to or better than MJ, if so, then why durant (being a great defender himself and even rim protector ) or lebron arent better than MJ since their offensive talent is close to harden?
