Man, crazy one game can change a fanbase from arguing their player is the best player in the league to almost unanimously agreeing he isn't top 5... not going to try and defend Harden's game tonight but don't just throwout this whole season over one game

You must have forgotten who Ibaka was, Durant negates Harden, Ibaka averaged 3 blocks per game that series, and was leading the league in blocks every year during those years.

Nah, a lot of us actually saw the all-time turnover leader and one-way player as a liability long before this.

Thankfully Jordan got to play with one of the best forwards of all time.

Best Harden has got is a delusional center that thinks He's Hakeem when he's closer to being Javale McGee.

I'm utterly amazed that people are going forward in any way with any comparison at all to Jordan.

MJ played 2 directions of basketball with heart. Harden plays half of the game when things are going well....

Oh, it's been thrown out. It never happened at this point. We're back to 2016. Harden is a pariah once again.

Cool? Harden had a legit MVP season, one game doesn't erase that...

Again not trying to defend Harden tonight. That was embarrassing and honestly hard to watch. Maybe the worst game I've ever witnessed in all my years of Houston sports fandom. But I still rep Harden and as long as he is a Rocket I'll defend him. I'd rather occasionally get embarrassed in the playoffs with an All-Time Great NBA player then be watching from the outside any day. Hurts now, but we'll see better days.

    You missed the point entirely.

**** happens. You act like we were even supposed to be here, drag up your pre-season predictions and lets see what you thought of this team and Harden. He did this all playing with no other all-star.

Jordan, once again, needed Pippen. We are not even talking about him being GOAT if he never had Pippen. Is this comparing Jordan to Harden? No, it's showing that **** happens. Lebron taking his super team against a one man superstar team and choking in the finals...Dirk choking in the first round...Durant and Westbrook never doing anything together...**** happens.

If you chalk this up as just an L they still massively overachieved.

If you think 'legit' MVP seasons include playing one half of the game that's good for you. I, however, place emphasis on this little thing called defense that just so happens to be 50% of the total game.

Keep going with the Jordan narrative, this is fascinating to see what fluoride in the water does to people.

By almost every metric Harden was average/above average on defense this year. But yeah, continue to spout the ESPN narrative against your own hometown team. Sad!

reminds me of when clutchfans posters compared Jeremy lin to steve nash when anybody dared to criticize him.
losing to team without thier starting point guard and best player a HOME is massively underachieving.

    that spurs weren't THAT good.

you act like they're the ****ing warriors.

    Nah, they're the ******* Spurs.

They overachieved this season, please. This isn't even arguable. You are the person that would call the Falcons season a failure just because they blew it in the end, didn't mean they weren't a good team.
