Yes it ended in ugly and dissapointing fashion but let's remember that most people thought this would be a .500 team anyway. I still think Harden is a top 5 nba player.

I hold him entirely accountable for this. he crapped the bed, quit, was lazy, and sucked. I still think morey/les decide it's best to continue to build around him. If we can get gordon hayward and a big dude to lock down the paint then we are back in business

I got **** for my preseason prediciton of top 5 players. It was

    1. Lebron
    2. Durant
    3. Curry
    4. Leonard
    5. Harden / WB

Now, Im not even sure with that #5 anymore.

No one is going to think that outside of Houston.

Maybe in Rockets fans eyes but to everyone outside rednation, Haren plays no defense and is a flopper so he won't even land in top 5.

    Top 5 regular season player.

Playoff wise? He's on Paul George's level.

If you are so myopic as to think the game is only played on one side of the basketball, then yes, he is a top 5 player. If we want to consider both offense and defense, lololol.

Nope. Top 5 player delivers the team in game 5 and tonight under similar circumstances wins.

    1. Lebron
    2. Durant
    3. Curry
    4. Leonard

He gotta compete with Westbrook, Davis, and Gainnis for that 5th spot.

He's arguably top 5 IMO, but like the team his quality of play from one game to the next is highly volatile. His reliance on "lazy" basketball that he can get away with against mediocre teams but not the elite teams is also a problem. By "lazy" basketball, I mean:

Harden's staple: Dribble, dribble, dribble, pull up.
    All the foul baiting maneuvers.
Walking the ball up the floor and not getting into our half court offense early.
Crazy passes with low chance of success.
    His entire approach to defense.

We desperately need a player good enough to hold Harden accountable on-court, and to take over in those games where Harden's just not getting it done. Tonight our superstar gave piss-pour effort and nobody on the team dared to hold his feet to the fire.

he just isn't there yet. i still think he's our best bet. we were one of the last 8 teams standing. If we blow it up or trade him then we will be the brooklyn nets for a little bit

He's weak minded and buckles under pressure. He doesn't want it bad enough. Not a superstar.

I can't bring myself to bestow a lofty ranking of top 5 best player in the league when there is no will to win.

all that talent for nothing. we out here getting pay checks.
