All he had to do was keep his mouth shut and sit out to rest a ****en injury. Instead he says some stupid **** about 82 games, plays like a jerkoff and loses it.

Let's shut down the mvp threads it's over.

James might as well go back to khloe, I just don't care anymore

In 4 of his last 5 games he put up 31, 33, 35, 27 with boards of 7, 9, 11, 10 and assists of 10, 12, 15, 12 with 2 triple doubles, 40%+ three point shooting and positive +/- scores in all those games despite the team going 2-2. He got a groove back. I'm glad he played.

If you think his comments had any influence on his case for MVP, you're a moron. Just saying...

A clever way to stop MVP threads... by starting your post about how he lost it.

And you're posting why? Opening a new Harden MVP thread why?

Like I said more like TexansIdiot

He never had it to begin with if all it takes is 3-4 games in a week or 2 while injured to discredit about 75 games and 5+ months of worthy performances

Nice thread, I had been searching this forum forever to find one that discusses the MVP race.

"Htowngenius"? You may wanna rethink that moniker.

As for your argument that Harden had it and blew it, I think it's more that Westbrook took it away. The triple double average alone may have been enough to narrowly give him the MVP. The clutch plays down the stretch just sealed it.

It was actually brown that had it, then lost it. Get your facts straight at least.

I mean this in all seriousness: this guy is my least favorite poster.

We got off a feel good win and are getting ready for a playoff run. Get outta here bro. Follow the orlando magic or phoenix suns since your teams to "blow it up"

MVP doesn't guarantee championships. I'll take the championship trophy over the MVP trophy any day.

Russell Westbrook winning MVP and getting eliminated from the first round means NOTHING in the long run. Remember that guy Derrick Rose? He was the MVP once upon a time but that doesn't give him any special treatment today.

We are so worried about Harden not winning the MVP trophy because Houston/the Rockets never have respect from the media. The championship trophy is the ultimate way to earn everyone's respect.

More than half the players in the league will agree that Harden is the MVP. Other All-stars noticed that Harden's first instinct during the all-star game and during their regular season matchups was to create opportunities for his teammates to score--but also take over the burden of scoring when needed.

That, and team success in D'Antoni's high shooting volume system is what will attract big name free agents. Big men know that he runs the pick and roll like a boss and will find them for alley-oops. Guards and forwards know he will get the ball in their hands when they are wide open. I don't see why anybody would want to be on a team with highest-usage-rate-%-in-the-NBA Russell Westbrook and his triple-double average (that could only get his team to 6th in the Western Conference).
