that group of guys had a special year last season. good to see ujiri keeping them together. of course the hawks and bulls were not at full strength. this year will be tougher for them.
Interesting. For many role players, fit is such a critical part of their value. Vasquez was deemed expendable even when averaging 14 pts and 9 assists per game in New Orleans. Then was basically throw into a trade as an expiring deal by a bad Kings team. And then he played well enough in Toronto to earn a $6.5M salary. Darren Collison was unwanted and dumped by IND and DAL but played well enough for the Clips to land an MLE deal. DJ Augustin was dumped by IND and TOR and then was critical for the Bulls. Patrick Patterson was horrible for the Kings but productive for Toronto and they signed him to an MLE deal.
