When you think of the 2000 season for the Rockets, what moment is going to stand out most for you? Here are a couple to choose from and please add more if you want...

Big Sexy kicking Big Aristotle's ass- Proved that size and age aren't the only things, and that our man Chuck was still the baddest man in the NBA.

Stevie's dunk on Sabonis- Beautiful poster material against a rival.

Kelvin Cato denying $haq twice on NBC- That game alone showed Kelvin just might be worth what he's being payed. Great defensive play on the league's MVP.

Francis taking second place in the Dunk Contest- While he did kind of screw himself at the end, Francis provided pretty good competition to winner Vince Carter. Probably the birthplace of Stevie's superstar status.

Barkley's farewell game- While he only did his trademark rebound/putback once, it gave us the chance to see another one of the all-time greats retire in a Rockets jersey.

Francis winning Co-Rookie of the Year- Houston's first ROTY winner since Ralph Sampson.

Great list , also you might want to add the departure of Thomas Hamilton. [IMG]

As soon as I saw the subject, I automatically thought of the Barkey/Shaq fight. It may not have been the best moment but it certainly was the most memorable.

Beating the Blazers and Quitten twice.

for me...it was Steve's performance at the dunk contest... when Steve did that 'ninja kick' on his second dunk and all the all-stars were shaking their heads, i was so proud to be a Rocket fan [IMG]

It has to be Chuck's farewell game. Especially when he got his lat putback. the way the crowd went crazy was truly awesome. Wish i were there!

My pick would be the Super Bowl Sunday game against the Lakers.

I got 2 favs: Barkley's final bucket and Francis' dunk in Jahidi White's face.

I guess you can add on the ally-oop Steve caught against Seattle when he went well over Cato to throw it down.

Starting the season on winning streak.

My crystal ball never lies, except in that mock draft contest. At least I got Etan right!

With all of the dunks mentioned it reminds me of that preseason game (against Seattle?) when Steve streaked down the court, flew through the air for a dunk, and did a chin up on the rim. Now that was foreshodowing.

Was that SuperBowl Sunday game the same one where Cato got his two blocks on $haq?

I kind of also liked Steve's performance against Vancouver when he went up there. Totatlly torched not just the Grizz, but their fans as well. Great game because that's when I knew the kid had guts and could deliver in the crunch if need-be.

Any particular time that Rudy stepped onto the court.

acquiring Shandon & Francis was my highlight.

So deal them now to insure Mobley will stay & not have to worry about how many times he gets to touch the ball.

yah...the one during the pre-season game was nasty... he had a running start off the inbounds, went straight to the hoop, and threw it down hard w/ two hands...and the chin-up only made it better... it was ridiculous [IMG]
