This isn't currently a Rockets topic, but it will affect future Rocket topics. So don't move the thread. If you ever want to post a trade idea but aren't sure if it works, check out this site: www.realgm.com You can put in a proposed trade (up to 4 teams) and it will tell you if it works capwise. It is without a doubt the second best basketball site I've ever seen, and it's not even finished yet. So if you don't know if a trade works cap-wise, or even if you are "positive" it works, check it out so that you don't waste everyone's time. ------------------
Cool site, I would say thanx but its in the wrong forum! ------------------ "I talked about what degenerates they [Mets fans] were, and they proved me right. Just by saying something, I could make them mad enough to go home and slap their moms." John Rocker
VERY COOL INDEED! Check this out: houston trades: Jason Collier $1,190,760 to golden state houston trades: Bryce Drew $1,182,600 to golden state houston trades: Carlos Rogers $2,200,000 to golden state houston trades: Walt Williams $4,250,000 to golden state TOTAL: $8,823,360 golden state trades: Erick Dampier $5,610,390 to houston golden state trades: Antwan Jamison $2,678,400 to houston TOTAL: $8,288,790 TRADE DECLINED There were BYC players involved in this trade, so this trade is subject to the BYC provisions of the CBA. Due to houston and golden state being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. houston and golden state had to be within 15% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did not happen here (only houston met the condition). This trade does not satisfy the provisions of the Collective Bargaining agreement. NOW THIS IS MORE LIKELY... The only real life simulator for the NBA. houston trades: Jason Collier $1,190,760 to golden state houston trades: Carlos Rogers $2,200,000 to golden state houston trades: Walt Williams $4,250,000 to golden state TOTAL: $7,640,760 golden state trades: Erick Dampier $5,610,390 to houston golden state trades: Antwan Jamison $2,678,400 to houston TOTAL: $8,288,790 TRADE ACCEPTED There were BYC players involved in this trade, so this trade is subject to the BYC provisions of the CBA. Due to houston and golden state being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. houston and golden state had to be within 15% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining agreement. Shame it won´t happen, though! But we can always take Collier out put Drew in, and the deal would STILL work capwise. Wanna pull the trigger, GSW fans? Yeah, i thought so ------------------ "The world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams. It´s Heaven and Hell!" Ummm NewGuy I posted this late last night. In the NBA Dish Just lettin' ya know. BTW I agree 100%, Real GM is an excellent site. ------------------
WOW that is a great site, but its unfortunate, because now i can see just how bad Catos contract really is MAN he better start producing!!!! ------------------
Sorry CH, I actually found out about it from you on the ESPN board. But the NBA Dish gets a lot less traffic than this board, shown by me not even knowing this had been posted. See all these people didn't see your post over there either. That's why if you want to get responses, here's some advice CH. Find some way to connect it to the Rockets, and put it in this forum. ------------------
I can´t believe we´ll be paying Matt Baloney all the way to 2004/05. Now correct me if i´m wrong, but shouldn´t part of Don Maclean´s contract be off our hands no that the Heat has signed him? ------------------ "The world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams. It´s Heaven and Hell!"
Subtract what the Heat are paying him from what we are paying him. But terms of his deal weren't disclosed, my guess would be the minimum with a one or two year deal. ------------------

Why did this thread get moved? It started off having a little bit to do with the Rockets and by the end we were all talking about the Rockets and what they owe MacLean and Maloney. Last time this happened there wasn't a happy ending so I'm not going to start a fight. But you did say that it was important to post stuff in the right thread because they all have a lot of people check them out, but unfortunately that's not true. That site is going to affect tons of threads in the future but not if noone finds out about it. Come on admins ------------------
What if somebody is on vacation and misses your thread about realgm because it scrolled off into history? Here is a clue on how to get your message across everytime you post. Look at your signature. I'm not as clever or witty as you are Mango, so until I come up with something good I won't have a signature. I also don't care about the site enough to include it, I just thought people would like to know about it. ------------------
Clever and witty? Sometimes and sometimes not. I will mention the site for you in my sig. Mango ------------------ 1. Put new topics in the proper forum. Things happening in the rest of the NBA 2.
