Grant turns down 39 milion clams...

According to David Aldridge on ESPN earlier today... Brian Grant reportedly turned down Portland's $39 million offer and is looking for a contract in the $70 million range. Hehe. Good luck to him.

Seriously though, the guy has the opportunity to get a ring or two in Portland and make his family financially secure FOREVER and he turns down all that jack because he wants to start. I for one don't think he's even worth the money Portland offered him. He's just a slightly better version of Otis Thorpe.

If Grant indeed doesn't resign, then maybe the Blazers will turn out for the better. Afterall, look what happened to the Nets when they gave Jayson Williams that ridiculous contract a few years back...
