Gordon: "We can’t isolate as much against a good defensive team. I don’t care who you are."

It worked well because at the beginning of the game, energy and stamina was abudant.

Then over the course of the game, the Warriors had the ability to stare and watch Harden dribvle the air out of the ball for 20 seconds per possession which drained his energy and restored the Warriors.

Dirbbling the air out of the ball for 20 seconds per possession isn't sustainable per the course of an entire 48 minute NBA basketball game.

Where were the good looks? Most the shots I saw were late in the shotclock or off balance 3's from way out. That's not a high percentage look. Yes they are the champs but we're still one of the best offenses in the NBA. We should be able to generate either open shots or good shots in rhythm of the offense. If Golden State wants to switch then we need to adjust and stop doing the same thing expecting different results. That's coaching philosophy and nothing to do with the players

I can appreciate what Gordon is saying - but saying it publicly is not good

When we beat these guys we were unconscious from behind the arc. We haven't been that team for months. Role players need to catch from three and take it to the rim if they're gonna close out so fast. If you know the closeout is coming which isn't easy to do then changing direction when committing to closing out is even harder. Make em pay by dunks and layups. Role players gotta take it to the paint.

Gordon sucked massive ass for 3 quarters and was a huge reason why we didn't get any distance .

He needs to shut the **** up and play like he has testicles .

He's got all the athleticism to be a FORCE driving to the rack and he consistently brings nothing but softness .

Throw it the **** down E.G. .... or at least attack the rack with a purpose .

all those shot were shots hes taken all year. so what now that they're off and theyre in the wcf its an issue. thats on him before anything else

him losing the ball on a fastbreak bc he cant grab the ball is not on harden. him driving to the basket and falling in the paint resulting in a broken play is not on anyone else. just like tucker missing a transition layup during a run isn't on anyone else but him. those are the kind of mistakes that you just can't make here. or atleast they need to be severely limited bc gs absolutely capitalized on all of them

Hard to get into a rythmn when you don't touch the ball, Eric Gordon is right.

It's not understanding not understanding. If you follow this sport for more than 30 years, you know it is what it is. Harden is not going to magically turn into a KD kind of player. ISO and opportunistic plays is who he is. We are bound by his success and his style of play. Yapping about how flowed the system is, which is designed around him, AT THIS POINT OF THE SEASON, in PUBLIC, isn't going to do us any good. We fans can argue about these things, but not him, especially when he is only outputting a marginally for this team so far in the playoff. If we hope to have chance, the players need to stick together.

Gordon has been playing very tight in the playoffs and looks like a choker so far. However the Rockets do need to move the ball better to get easier shots against the Warriors. The shots the Rockets were taking last night were a lot more difficult than the Warriors and if they don't get better movement and flow in the offense they'll lose by 20+ the next game.

I think it works both ways. One of the reasons why there was so much ice I was because guys were standing around and not moving without the ball, which forces harden and Paul to throw up shots. That’s why they had so many shot clock violations. Also, we need more than two players that can handle the ball and drive to the room. Aside from Capella, do we have anyone quick, with handles, and strong enough to finish at the rim over a Green? No.

Ariza scored 8 points and was in foul trouble. Tucker scored a total of 1 point. Anderson - 0. Add the that the poor play by the bench and then it all boils down to Harden and Paul against Curry, Durant, Thompson, and Green. It’s nit too difficult to figure out who has the advantage.

    The only issue I have with EGO saying this. . . . . .. . well 2 issues . . .
    1. Why say it NOW
    2. What is it an issue NOW?

What changed to make his number plummet? ook ok ok decrease?

    It's not him . . it's the system now?

This is about coaching not about James Harden's talent lol. The offense is simply too predictable and standing around while one player dribbles won't win a championship. Basketball is all about adjustments and we did not make any last night. 30 years and you didn't know this?

EGO is going to turn into a lock room cancer like he was back in NO if we don't win.

It's funny too because he shouldn't be talking about this to the media at all considering how poorly he's played every playoffs.

Remember EGO only agreed to come off the bench if it meant him getting 6moty awards and winning a ton of games. People forgot about that.

Look, what part of player not speaking this in public when you are sucking you don’t understand. There are plenty of other coaching adjustment threads for you to vent. Geez.

Just tossing out some FACTS for these playoffs...

Of the 4 remaining playoff teams the Rockets have shot the MOST wide open shots.

They take only 7.8 very tightly contested shots per game. 1 less than the Warriors.

Time of possession. Gordon 1.4 minutes per game, Klay 1.6 minutes per game.

He essentially is our Klay. Fast on all the wide ****ing open looks this offense serves up to you on a platter. But he hasn’t been a mediocre or even poor mans Klay Thompson so far he’s been the worst kind of homeless mans version.

We have seen him absolutely thrive in this offense. Stfu and make your shots.
