The guy is not having a great year, no career highs in several categories, actually down years in a lot of categories:
    - 3P% - .351
    - FG% - .437 - has had over .47 last 4 years including over .5
    - assists - 4.8 per game - which is terrible for a starting PG
    - points - 17 per game

If Goran can make it with 17 and 4, there's so many guys who should've been All-Stars, it's not even funny. Yes, he's a replacement, but come on, if it's because the Heat were not represented and 4th in the Conference then that's weak.

    Thoughts?

Jamal magloire was also a terrible all star. However he was not bad in the game.

Heat play on very slow pace, are in good place when it comes to standings, they had no all starts, dont see much wrong with this, you need to promote winning more then the numbers.

    They should promote Dynex.

Come on, Dragic is the Best. Figuratively.

Absolutely, it makes no sense, especially after watching the heat lose tonight.
I have no idea where that pick came from??

It's a daylight robbery of Kemba Walker and Middleton that Dragic is chosen over them.

However hes not the worst all star in recent history. Teague and Korver were all stars a couple of years ago and Teague wasnt even a replacement.

Well Hawks were something special that year, 1st seed. Ben Simmons, Kemba and maybe others deserved it over Dragic easily.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas wasn't a very impressive All-Star, and he made it twice. The LeBron effect.

I'd also argue that Kobe in his last All-Star appearance was significantly worse than Dragic. Well, maybe not significantly, but worse for sure.

Welp, first time his team sucked big time, but he was one of the best centers in the Eastern Conference, and there was no LeBron just yet.

In the early 00's when both conferences were forced to take 2 true centers, the east routinely had some pretty awful picks.

Interesting how people complain about who should make it or not. This is pretty much why. You prefer taking players on losing teams and name recognition rather than rewarding winning which is the most important thing

Simmons is winning, Kemba is balling, hell even Griffin now in the East and probably more deserving.

Philly was under .500 when the all stars were made official. So no not really winning. Griffin wasn't even an option. Kemba has had 2 good games in a row and obviously late but overall the hornets have been a disappointment. I see no reason he should get rewarded with an all star appeareance

For All NBA teams, maybe... For the All Star game, it should be the best/ most popular players than good role/ system players

I disagree. But yeah that's why there's so much discussion every year about this.

The contribution and importance of a role player on a so called winning (in truth just a little bit above 0.5) tea, is less than a star player of a team little bellow 0.500.
Both of those kind of teams will go nowhere. I rather take Kemba over the Dragic's and the Korvers of the world.

Dragic isn't even the most important player of his team. And if anyone had to go to the all star weekend then make Spo the assistant coach because he is the only one deserving.
