*Off-season thread* If the mods feel like this isn't GARM worthy, I won't be opposed to it being locked. If King Drew and Plowman are correct and we're going after one of these two, who would you rather have? Advantages of Dragic: Been in Houston before Better of the two players right now Advantages of Bledsoe: Defense More potential Less risk of him walking next year with next contract
Dragic is both a better player and fit. Not sure why Phoenix would trade either, though. Their 3-guard rotation may be the best in the league.
If we're going with the pattern of the off-season: Ariza, N. Johnsom, Dorsey, Adrien....emphasis on D. It would have to be Bledsoe or Rondo.
Just stop. Until we have some tangible evidence, this thread is just setting the board up for more dissapointment.
It's not a matter of who we'd prefer, it's more a matter of who is more attainable. We could put together a package that would be legal under the CBA to acquire Dragic. Assuming that Bledsoe will get something in the $14 to $15M range, we couldn't really put together a package for him unless we included Harden or Howard. Now will Phoenix really trade either? Don't know. If so, do they value the Pelican's pick that highly? Don't know. Personally, I'd prefer Dragic. He's the better player. Dragic and Harden would give us two of the very best open court players in the league, both can shoot the 3, both can penetrate and pass...and both left handed.
Bledsoe. Much better defender, and rebounder. And a better playmaker. Takes care of the ball at an very high level. Dragic has him in shooting and scoring but that's about it. Bledsoe impacts the game in more ways. I'd like either on the Rockets.
Either one. Preferably Bledsoe. We should have went after him instead of Bosh in the 1st place and signed Spencer Hawes.
Bledsoe looks like a future star. Dragic just had a heckuva season. If we were to get either one, I would attempt a backflip, and possibly post the disastrous results in the hangout.
Dragic just because of bledsoes health concerns. Dragic fits a little better on offense but Bledsoe and ariza as perimeter defenders with Dwight in the middle would completely change this team
