It's the Yankees. The position players make him look better than he is. He's no all-star.

That could be true. I'll agree with your logic. If you put a losing pitcher onto a good team that pitcher usually becomes a winner. Yanks defense and offense may have been enough to make him look good, but then again, that means Cone is really-really-really bad now.

Gooden was traded from the Astros and I believe waived from Tampa Bay.

Yankees are a better team than the Astros and Devil Rays.

I give Gooden credit. The guy has to be able to pitch to win. I'm just saying don't give him too much credit like come back player of the year. Cone just has not been able to pitch. No team could make that guy look good right now.

The Yankees are ranked #9 out of 14 teams in scoring.... The position players don't make this team go anywhere. Their pitching, ranked #3, is what makes them a good team.

Is it any coincidence that the Cato is the only Rocket with a temperature scale named after him?

The Guy is back with a 3-0 record and 2.06 era in last three starts with yankees. Is it a New York thing that has brought him back from the dead? Maybe. He was a Stro early this year and we traded him for cash. It appears the Gods are messing with him again. And if he keeps this up I give him come back player of the year. The Yanks are moving Cone into the bullpen to give Gooden a chance.
