Shanny will probably be hired as 9ers HC as soon as the season is over per Schefter

Which would fit well with a Chip Kelly led offense. That's my dream scenario.

It doesn't matter who they pick as OC, the Offensive line and QB are terrible.

TOP is such a stupid stat. Just because an offense takes more time between plays doesn't make them any better or worse. If I run 3 plays and take 2 minutes, is that any more dominant than if I run 3 plays in 40 seconds? If anything, the latter is more exhausting for the opposing defense. His teams were bad in TOP because they hurried up between each play - specifically to take advantage of the defense. His teams were also high in # of plays run, first downs, etc.

What does that have to do with anything?

OBrien has been a QB coach and we've carouseled through 8 of the worst QBs in NFL history during the last 3 years.

The Jets are showing interest in former Texans offensive coordinator George Godsey, according to a league source. They could interview him for their vacant OC position as soon as tomorrow at the Senior Bowl. Godsey and the Texans mutually parted ways after the playoff loss to the Patriots. The Texans finished 29th in total offense, as $72 million QB Brock Osweiler struggled. The Jets also have interest in Saints WRs coach John Morton, per source.

he's not a defensive guy. He's a former QB.. probably helping the defense understand the QB perspective.

So he went from an offensive coordinator to a defensive psychiatrist?
