Texans just "mutually parted ways" with George Godsey, per pancakes. I'll be curious to see who replaces him. Not sure what this means for Osweiler, either. I wouldn't mind just outright cutting him, to be honest. I don't care that we'd be hemorrhaging money.
Now go out and get someone.. Mike, Kyle, hell even Chip.. Before you rake me over the coals, I thought D'Antoni was a stupid signing for the rockets, but that fast-paced offense is killing it... We added a crap ton of speed last draft/off-season, I bet he could do some work to utilize it. Then again, I don't care, just get an offensive minded guy in here.
Chip is on his way to becoming the Jags new OC. Not sure who is left, since my pick would have been Marrone. I wonder what former Pat's assistants are left...
Scapegoat move, should've happened a lot sooner and hopefully nobody's satisfied with just this firing.
If McNair called Chip up right now, I bet you anything Chip would at least take the interview.. Texans are way more attractive than Jags..
Throwing a random name out there... Chad O'Shea, Wr coach of the Patriots. I don't know much about him except people like him and he's from Houston. I haven't heard his name anywhere, like I said, just throwing his name out there.
Not when he has more on his plate. Sure, if that's all he had to do, offense would probably be better off than it was with Godsey being a terrible coordinator. Similar to how Belichick handles his defenses. He can step in and coordinate if the DC is incompetent, but he'd prefer to not have to micromanage so he can keep enough focus on the entire team. Marc Trestman could be an interesting name. But I hope they go hard after McCoy.
I wouldn't love it, wouldn't hate it. This offense seemed to move down the field best in a no huddle, which Kelly could manage.
