I was quite impressed with two of the three reverse layups from Jeremy last night. So much so, I created a thread with GIFs. Enjoy!
That shot is so much harder when you use your dominant hand on the wrong side of the glass. Impressive indeed. Work out that left hand layup and scoop my boy!
Needs a left handed finish. Would make his life so much easier. Turned an easy finish into a typical Lin out of control finish. He would be splattered all over the floor if any defender touch him.
It's nice he made that 2nd layup but it's pretty bizarre he wouldn't use his left hand there. It should be easier for a professional basketball player. You haven't changed, bro.
He was in control, but he's right if he had a lefty layup it would have turned that awesome difficult shot into a pretty smooth routine lay in. Regardless a finish is a finish.
"It's impressive because he's Jeremy. Omer does what he does every night and doesn't get the same praise." When you have a few minutes, can you make a gif of Harden's FTs? Jokes aside, those are pretty cool . Thanks!
They were very under control and very pretty. But the guy you quoted is correct, that's a much easier shot if you use your left hand there. It's probably a difficulty of maybe 3 or 4 with the left hand, and 7 or 8 with the right.

has anyone ever thought that maybe this moves actually EASIER for him than a left, that's why it might be a high percentage shot for him. sometimes people are used to the way they shoot. it might be harder for people who don't practice it but it's possible it's an 'easier' and more comfortable move for lin
I agree. That is actually his go-to lay up. He did many of those during Linsanity. I think he prefers reverse lay ups more than the straight front ones because this will avoid confronting the defenders head on which can injure him against the bigs. Instead he uses burst of speed to get around the bigs and score on reverse lay up which is out of their reach to block him.
The reverse layup is one of Lin's favorite moves. He adds flash to many of his plays, making them aesthetically pleasing, which is partly why he's exciting to watch.
