Now that the team has some clarity of roles, get ready for a fun ride. No, they won't win 22 straight and they probably won't get past the first or second round of the playoffs, but they will bust their butts and play like a team which will make for enjoyable viewing. The ball movement has looked crisp and will only move faster. Roles will become more and more defined, and Yao now knows that the team is his. I for one, am pumped up and actually ready to enjoy some basketball. Too bad it took half the season for us to get here.
I too am energetic but i think we will make it to the 2nd round I watch a rebroadcast of the Previous game. . and the Crowd was ALIVE at the end. .. . So I don't think we are alone Rocket River
if this team doesn't get out of the first round, it is a disappointment (barring injuries). they finally have a complete team, with a scoring bench. the team has always tried hard the past decade. now it has the talent. it has to capitalize on it now.
I couldn't agree more. I also agree that the team now has a clear vision of what couch A wants to do. I love Brooks but I'm not sure he has the talent to up against some of the more elite point guards in the league but we'll see. Lowry will be a great assets coming off the bench but his learning curve will be steep. I think more than anything the removal of distractions (TMac) will do wonders for chemistry. cmiller
Come on. This is great, no question. But last year's 22 game win streak was amazing to watch as well.
Really? Didn't pay attention during the 22 game win streak or just forgot about it? The jon barry bob sura days were extremely fun also. I know we haven't had playoff success in a while but this isn't the first time in 7 years we've been exciting. Far from it.
They are starting to look good. Aaron, Ron, Scola, Yao, Brent. Everyone is stepping up. How sweet it is!!!!!!!!!!!
bob sura & jon barry years were def. more exciting. but this year we're much more talented (not even close).
aw man, the memories of that season are still fresh in my mind. I thought it was a great year, and since it was Tracy's first season here, I was so optimistic for the future. But that was probably the most exciting team since our last taste of playoff success. I know stevie francis was fun to watch with his athleticism but i thought with the playmakers and shooters, toughness, and heart (barry, sura, wesley) along with a growing yao and the greatness of mac...man that was a fun team. mac was still a top dog that year, just felt like an under dog year and with the veterans we had, it was a great run.
It helps that almost every competing team in the west is battling injuries now. Lakers - Bynum Spurs - Ginobili Nuggets - damn them. Blazers - just got Blake back. 14 asts in a quarter - WTF?! Us - we lost McGrady but this injury actually helps us in a way. Mavs - J Terry. Jazz - Boozer. Suns - Stoudemire. Plus, the Celtics don't have KG, Magic lost Jameer, and Cavs didn't have West (Delonte is back for the next game). So we have a good shot.
I spent half the time at my party Friday having a heated Rockets discussion with a few guys. It was fun. Still, no one believed me when I told them Matt Maloney had a hip hop record label.
Nene got hurt at the end of tonight's game. I'm waiting to hear how bad it is, but that would hurt them quite a bit if he misses serious time.
Sure you take the number of total wins and subtract 15, and you take the number of total loses and subtract 6...so. 35-21 currently .625% 15-6 without him .714% -------------------- 20-15 with him .571% That is some serious difference. DD
