i don't know, but i said it in the jim boeheim thread, this kid is NOT overrated. and i can't believe that some coaches in the big east said that, it's beyond my comprehension how you could come up with that. he made some HUGE plays AGAIN, that one them that game. he is going to be a good pro player. not a star, but a guy who will play for a long time and be a solid contributor.
You have to admire his heart and determination. He obviously isn't blessed athletically like a lot of the guys out there, but he finds a way.
The thing is that it was only assistant coaches who said that. SI had a players poll and they said that he's the most overrated player in the Big East, as well. Eh, I don't think so. He can't handle the ball well enough, and he doesn't have enough size to be a two guard.
To add a little more (I can't edit my post), I do think that McNamera is definately overrated by fans and analysts, but he was hyped up to much. He's a solid player, but he's not a star. He's not a great shooter and is an average decision maker at best. He's a very good player whom you have to love, but I definately think he's overrated, although that's just because of the hype that he gets.
