George Karl was whining that Bynum "was playing nice illegal defense" on about 30 possessions in game 1. http://www.latimes.com/sports/laker...ver-denver-web-links-20120430,0,3077937.story http://www.slamonline.com/online/nb...rew-bynum-‘was-playing-nice-illegal-defense’/ He seems to forget that he was the architect of the zone defense he had Seattle employ on Hakeem in 1996 series, back before zones were actually legal.
When the illegal defense guru says you're playing illegal defense, then it's an open & shut case. You're playing illegal defense! Stern should severly repremand the referees. Don't hold your breath.
Karl did the same thing in Seattle, whining about Dream playing illegal D while running nothing but zone against the Rockets.
Regardless of who's doing the whining, if it is illegal defense, it's illegal defense. If it isn't, it isn't. The fact that Karl is pointing it out doesn't change reality.
