I visit Clutchfans on a regular basis since 2000 … but I rarely post

But after what I witnessed Wednesday I wanted to share with you all my Astros experience

Both my brother and I attended the game Wednesday … If you were looking for Astros fans at the game on your TV screen you probably saw us … We were the two crazy Astros fans in Center Left Field seats jumping up and down after every home run ball … Almost every home run ball was hit our way … Correa’s home run landed just 3 rows behind us … Seriously I really thought I was going to catch it …

In my humble opinion this was one of the greatest baseball games ever … yes I know I am biased given that I am an Astros fan, we won, and I was at the game …

What is so unreal about this game is that as a Houston sports fan I always feel we end up losing these classic games … I am still scarred from the Oilers-Bills game back in the 90s …

Both my brother and I are diehard Astros and Rockets fans who live in California … Actually we have spent most of our lives in Cali … As kids we did live a few years in Houston … It was in those few years were we made our sports allegiances to the Rockets, Astros, and Oilers … For most of our lives we watched the Lakers, Dodgers, and Angels win chips and having our friends ridicule us for not cheering for the LA teams … So as you can see this Astros-Dodgers game was extra special for us … We had to be at one of the games in LA … Ironically that almost didn’t happen … The night before the game I went online and purchased two tickets to Wednesday's game from a reputable online ticket marketplace … Like 10 minutes after the purchase I get an email from the company that my tickets no longer existed and that they would refund me the price of the tickets … So my brother goes online and purchases two tickets from the same company and again minutes later he gets the same email … Finally we chose another reputable online ticket marketplace and it all worked out

There were a few of us Astros fans in the stadium … maybe like 100 of 56,000 (my brother estimated 500) … It was really a surreal atmosphere … Thank goodness the Dodger fans around us were awesome … The game went back and forth and it was so cool for us to see their emotional roller coaster and for them to see ours … Actually before the game started, to get the Dodger fans to be cool with us, I told them they were lucky that my brother and I were sitting next to them … We were both wearing orange and that was an opportunity for one of their friends or family members to catch them on TV if a ball was hit our way … And boy were there a lot of balls hit our way … Out of the 100 or 500 Astros fans there at Dodger Stadium there was around 15 of them in our section and it was awesome sharing the roller coaster of emotions with them …

Below is a link of Marwin’s 9th inning homerun … the video should start at the 40 second mark ... look for two crazy Astros fans to the left of your screen (one with a retro Astros jersey and one with a retro Astros shirt with orange sleeves) … thank you for allowing me to share this amazing experience with you guys

Awesome experience. Marwin’s hr Is really the biggest one of the night. All our other hr’s came when we were tied or up so while they obviously helped us win they didn’t guarantee we wouldn’t lose.

Hoping we keep the magic going tonight.

Wzup guys. I’m the little brother. The one wearing the jersey standing on the bench and pumping my fist. I like my bro have lurked on this site since 99. I still am on a high and I can’t stop sharing our experience with friends and family. It is so darn awesome to be an Astros fan right now.

A little extra info from that night. Overall the fans were nice but we did receive a few threats, one guy was flashing gang signs at me, and plenty of F the Astros chants. No worries we wore our colors proud and most people gave us our props.

The best part of the night was after Correa’s homerun which landed a few rows behind us-the guy who caught it let us take a picture with it. (I will try to upload it if I can figure it out: it’s on my iPhone?).

Anyways sorry for the long rant but that was by far the greatest fandom night of my life. Go Astros!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully y’all in Houston can post your stories from games 3-5 here!

I see you. Cool story, bro. No, really. Awesome. I can't believe how sparse the amount of Astros fans were in that see of Dodger blue. You guys were definitely not hard to notice. You were at one of the greatest games in MLB history. Pretty cool!

@LAROCKETFAN @Heartdoc Great story, amazing game indeed!

Me and my mates were in the nosebleeds, section infield reserve 34.

I would not have cared where we were sitting, though, as that was the greatest sports experience in my entire 39 years on this planet, for the reason you mentioned....

HOUSTON SPORTS TEAMS ARE NEVER ON THE GOOD SIDE OF THESE GAMES.

(I feel bad for taking this pic because these dudes were cool as hell, but I wanted to capture the inverse of how I was feeling)

Walking out of that stadium, I felt like a ****ing KING.

    3 more wins!
