Game 1 sucked. You know it, I know it, our moms know it. The whole team (with 1 or 2 exceptions) looked flat out of the gate. Melo appeared to be fiending to come in, made a couple shots, then sucked.

It happens. We haven't had a lot of time to develop chemistry, and maybe we just thought we were better than we are and that we could walk all over the Pelicans.

Game 2 is a prototypical wake up call. In LA, on ESPN, vs LeBron's Lakers. Another team we should beat. Another team that hasn't developed chemistry.

If we don't come out with intense energy and excellent team play, it is going to set a terrible precedent for the season and the 'Melo experiment.' If we fight our asses off, win or lose, we can be very optimistic about the season.

Can't downplay the Pels. They have one of the best front courts in the league. It was just a tough match up.

Play Gary Clark, it's a Young league, Mike is really outdated it feels Like with over trusting older players, while younger players bench warming, younger guys are always way more hungry.

Everything... Everything we need to know.

The entire season hinges on what adjustments we make before the next game. It will tell us if we are truly contenders or if last season was just a fluke. It will tell us if we should have matched or even doubled any offer that Ariza received. It will tell us if having Anderson as a cheerleader on the bench was really the key to us winning 65 games. It will tell us if there is any hope for us as Rockets fans or if we should just give up and not watch the rest of the 80 games of the season.

There is no other option. Morey won't have any chances to make any trades or free agent signings. MDA won't have any chances to make further adjustments to the roster. The players won't have any more time to try to figure out assignments and rotations and chemistry.

The most important game of the season. Everything we need to know. It all comes down to Saturday.... the second game out of an 82 game season.

Not downplaying them, they looked excellent, AD has the eye of the tiger. But if we are being honest we played like it was preseason and they played like it was the playoffs. The Rockets need to take a good hard look in the mirror after that performance.

    Phew. That’s a relief.

I got tired at the end of the 2nd Q in the 1st game, so good to know I only have to focus on one more.

Best case scenerio: Rockets win, score more than 110, allow less than 100.
Moving in the right direction: Keep Lakers under 105, win/lose game by 5
Nothing has changed: Allow more than 110, get blown out again.

I hope trades happen before Sunday. I would be okay with never seeing that grouping again. We need to move around someone, something, somewhere & somehow. The first game of the season was marked on every team members calendar and that’s what we got. Flat —> who, how & why. Two of them got PAID and looked like that did really care much anymore. Coach needs to play some of our youth that can play defense or play Nene. We are not just going to win because we have “Rockets” on our chest. NOP popcorn deserved to win that game in every aspect. There is more going on than what was shown on the court yesterday.

If we win the game, we are still the best team this year. We have better talents.
If we lose the game, we need more time to jelly as a team. We have 3 new additions in the rotation.

This will be a fast pace game.

Josh Hart, Kuzma, Ingram, KCP .....

    Result supposed to be
    Rockets 120, Lakers 105

    Result will be
    Lakers 117, Rockets 112

The league is going to do everything it can to get that first Lebron win in front of the LAL fans. Get ready for the officiating to be horrific.

I just want to see us try. If we play like we did last night, I’ll start preparing for a 2015 type season.

We really need to turn the corner. The players need to get on the same page.

This. By Christmas, we should all have a better idea of what is working and what is not.
