    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/rockets-general-manager-shares-favorite-draft-interview-quips-201201243.html

Tuesday night’s draft lottery was typical – both a spectacle and spectacularly boring, and you get the feeling that Houston Rocket general manager Daryl Morey was more than happy to sit it out.
Not only did Morey’s Rockets make the playoffs this season for the first time since 2009, but for once Morey doesn’t have a battalion of draft picks he’s hoarding. After owning three draft picks in the 2012 NBA draft, Morey happily sent each of his 2013 first rounders elsewhere via trade. And though he’ll be interviewing prospects for Houston’s No. 34 selection in next month’s draft, the playoff berth and iffy talent level have Morey in a good mood.
As evidenced by his Twitter feed, on Wednesday afternoon. Check these out:

Now, we don’t want to get into rampant speculation about who these Marcus Williams draft interviewees might be, so we’ll err on the side of tact.
Happily (I think?) this could be the tip of the iceberg with stories like these, which would go back to when Morey was working in the Boston Celtics’ front office. We’ll let you know if Daryl decides to grace us with any more of them.

Sorry couldn't embed the tweets but I'm surprised how some of these guys don't think. I mean it's normal to be nervous at an interview but geez. I wish more was unveiled to the public, there must have been some hilarious stuff and awkward moments that definately make an impression.

Mystery GM: What are you most afraid of?

    Mystery Player: Flying.

Mystery GM: Don't worry we can help you overcome that.

Ironically, interviews probably HURT the Rockets in making a wrong assessment when it came to mystery player. Mystery player is quite good at interviews. Very articulate person. Makes you wonder if it's better to get the dumb ones because at least you know they'll be dedicated to basketball instead of #bewell.

    Very true.

He is so well spoken, he makes you forget that it's all an act.

    His calling is acting.

A few years from now, Morey will be pursuing one of these guys in free agency. The accumulated filth of his drafts and lies will foam up about his waist and this w**** and politician will shout "Save us!"... and the free agent will look down and whisper "No."

Its time to get over it dude. He's just making a harmless joke, and YOU(Mr. never at a the loss for a snarky quip) of all people should be able to understand that.... especially when-

    A. He isn't calling anyone out by name
    B. Most of these young kids probably didn't even realize they said this
    C. Most of these guys would probably kick themselves for saying that, and be honored if Morey still signed them to the Vipers
    D. What these kids said is freaking hilarious & pretty dumb.

Most of these guys are going to be happy to be the 40th pick, and most will be in the D-League or overseas.

Morey needs to be careful here. This stuff is funny to us but a half step further and you get in potential ___ism territory.

    1. One of these guys may well turn out good. Why risk it just to make a tweet?

    2. Players other than these may well get turned off by Morey's throwing fellow prospects under the bus. These player's, current NBA players, college coaches, etc. may all get offended.

    3. Different for Morey to make quip than for a fan to do so. A fan's words are not attributed to the team to the degree that a GM's is.
