I'm following the Chinese team pretty religiously, because I was born in China I want them to do well. I even signed up for a Chinese bball BBS, but it takes me forever to type out posts. And I probably sound like a third grader.

Anyway... watching the Chinese team is interesting... they have a weird mix of talent. What I think would be kind of fun is to come up with an NBA comparison for each of the players. Haha. Obviously it's not gonna be that accurate because I watch more NBA and have precious few chances to watch CNT.

Yao Ming -- Yao Ming. Although he's more like Tim Duncan compared to the rest of the field.

Bateer -- Bateer. Kinda like a Tractor Traylor.

Li Nan (#10 captain) -- I like Walt Williams for him. Or perhaps Glen Rice (on the Rockets). Not explosive, some three point ability, crafty in the lane.

Yi Jianlian (#20) -- haha... maybe like a Skita? Better D... Young stromile swift, young Jermain O'Neal (like 2nd season).

Du Feng (#15) -- Stacey Augmon? Lean, pretty solid D.

Zhu Fangyu (#8) -- less athletic Kedrick Brown... Pat Garrity? Oh here we go, Devean George.

Mo Ke (#12) -- very similar to Wang Zhizhi. But obviously is a little more effective in international play than Wang was in the NBA. Scott Padgett? Pretty similar.

Liu Wei (#5) -- Tyronne Lue... no joke. Damon Stoudamire? I guess Damon Stoudamire's worst season. Still that's pretty good for the CNT.

Guo Shiqiang (#7) -- bigger, combo type guard... Eric Snow? Much worse than Eric Snow though. And not as good at passing. But safe with the ball. Much worse Troy Hudson? Here we go... Raja Bell.

Chen Ke (#18) -- doesn't get that many minutes... but he's a gunner... can't come up with one.

Zhang Jinsong (#9) -- honestly hasn't play enough for me to tell.

Seriously man, do you ever sleep? And I'm afraid I can't play your game. Aside from Yao, Yi and Bateer, I couldn't tell anyone else from Adam. Unless Adam doesn't happen to be Chinese, then in which case I think I might be able to put in a guess.

Alot of ppl dont believe Yi is just 16-17... from the way he plays i think he is 17... hey he is not even a starter in his chinese club.
I like Mo Ke ... thinks he is better than Wang Zhizhi, at least he can really rebound....

I made a promise to not sleep for 6 months until the Chinese team makes the quarterfinals.

Oh, that's nice. I put it at about a week until you go insane. Not due to sleep deprivation or anything like that, but due to watching the CNT play.
