From maybe one of the most pessimistic fans here, I just wanna say...

I've been a fan since as long as I can remember. Was only a little kid during the championships, but I remember those days clearly. I'm also an extreme pessimist/realist when it comes to the Rockets (and any Houston team for that matter)... but after seeing what just happened in the last series, I wanna say...

I'm extremely happy and proud of the Rockets. I obviously did not think they were going to beat the Clippers in a 7-game series from the start. And I know no one here REALLY thought they'd come back to win the series when down 1-3. Without 2 starters in Bev and D-Mo? Incredible. I'm sick of the media treating it like the LAC just lost it and gave it to us. It takes 2 to tango. So they just gave it to us for 3 straight games? We dominated game 5 at home (completely overlooked). We woke up and stole game 6 yes, but pretty sure it takes energy, hustle and fight to pull off a win like that in the 4th quarter. Game 7 was domination from the start. We wanted it more and it showed. I'm still in a state of disbelief. Never thought I'd see a wire-to-wire win to clinch a playoff series by the Rockets.

Now, we get the Warriors and are playing with house money. NO ONE expects us to win, and we probably won't. I just wanna see effort. We're the underdogs (by a large margin). What a great position to be in. They've already far surpassed my expectations and I've been happily eating my words (I was quick to jump on Harden's lack of effort and McHale's lack of coaching ability etc...).

It was never about fandom, it was about believing. I choose to keep myself from believing to help lessen the pain... just a personal coping mechanism - for those who know Houston sports, you can understand why. It's not like I believe the Rockets will win this series or the championship, but I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy it. I just hope they let the players determine the games and hope we show up to fight.

Clutchfans, where the only way to be real and unbiased is to be a negative pessimist. I love it.

So when I lay out reasons why I don't think we're gonna come back from down 1-3, it's just all pessimism?

So what you're saying is that you still won't believe in the team even after they gave you a reason to believe?

Warriors are not that mentally tough. That may be the thing we can exploit.

    Rockets have a legit chance.

I say we win in 6.
Lose 1 at home.. and win twice in OAK.
