    I live in Western Australia..
We used it because it supposedly gave us another hour of sunlight in which to do things.. but by 6pm most people were home anyway so it made little difference.
I'm sure in countries with more intense winters the need for extra hours of sunlight is more needed.

    Ps.
We trialled Daylight Savings.. it pissed off all the farmers and we lost it again

Grammatically it's actually "saving" without the s, but it that doesn't sound sexy at all.

Curious to see how many people roll their clocks back an hour because you bumped an old thread.

Am I crazy, I swear the time used to change on Sunday/Monday, not Saturday/Sunday. I remember having to go into school or work miserable on a Monday when I lost an hour.

Thank goodness DST is here. I have about an hour commute to and from work each day and it gets really old walking out of my door in the dark and walking back into my door in the dark every day.

I just wish they would leave Time alone. Pick something and stick with it. It always takes me weeks to get used to The Change and I hate the whole thing. Not to mention that it ruined the drive-in theater business.

And here I am thinking rain and bird droppings had something to do with it.

I personally think there should be global time. It's all arbitrary anyways.

Happy to not have it dark at 5;30. That really annoys me.

I do miss the the times when i didn't have to worry about it in AZ though.

According to the Lost-Hour Economic Index, rolling the clock forward costs $433,982,548.00 nationally. Houston accounts for $8,591,542.00 of that. Put it somewhere and leave it.
