Fran just said on 610 that he's seen texts and has heard that after that bad loss Harden texted friends that he wanted Howard gone and that Howard also texted folks he wanted Harden gone

Interesting....... just keep in mind that it is very convenient for Fran to say this NOW.... why didn't he report it in 2014? Also, how did he see "texts"? Just seems odd.

    I just don't buy this.

From all accounts, they are civil and friendly, and more importantly, they're the two guys putting in work.

They may not be the best of friends (Smoov and KJ are Dwight's) but they get along well enough.

    This isn't Kobe/Shaq.

Frank likes to stir the pot.

Now THAT is interesting, though curious why that comes out now and not way back then or when they went to the Conference Finals.

I'm with this. Why in the world would you wait until the trade deadline 2 seasons later to report this?

I'm 100% certain that someone else also wrote about it in the last month. But don't remember who.

Once he switched to the darkside (NBA.com), I kinda stopped paying attention to him as much.

Fran is an idiot, but I don't think he'd report something like this without being sure. And it is very logical.

fran has always had it out for harden. looks no further than the harden "weirdo" comment a year and a half ago. with that said, i enjoy fran's articles. although he left houston, i think he wants best for the team as he was here during the championship years.

I found where I saw it before. It was the same journalist. I remember that I was alarmed reading it but everyone else just dismissed it.

I'm calling BS on that one. This was the year after the Dwightmare leaving LA, and if there was anything remotely close to this reported, the media would have sniffed it out, and ran with it.

And you know damn well us on here would have caught it. I'd love to see this article he apparently wrote two years ago.

What an attention whoring douche. I swear I never know the guy is still employed until there is something major with the Rockets in the national news, and then Fran shows up to take a call on some side network or NBATV when they can't find anyone else.

The guy is a known pot stirrer from way back in the day when the Rockets essentially kicked him to the curb for doing just that. Even last year in the playoffs somehow he got media access through nba.com I guess and got his a#$ singled out for pissing off Harden.

The fact is nobody around the org even likes the guy, and they sure as hell don't trust him. To think anyone close to the Rockets or even crazier to think that anyone close enough to Harden & Howard to actually give Fran screenshots of personal text messages is beyond absurd.

So I'd love to see this article he apparently wrote 2 years ago. I'm calling Bull freaking S#$%.

Honestly, another journalist may have... but that doesn't really prove much one way or the other. Journalists report what other journalists have said, look at Chris Broussard and others.

I find the timing very odd. The texts are from 2014 and he is just now reporting them? He has "seen" the texts? Are we to believe that he had friends of both Howard and Harden physically show him texts messages that we are to assume were not altered?

I would not be shocked if Harden and/or Howard blamed each other (it is very common for athletes to do so), but the circumstances surrounding Fran's comments are questionable.
