I'm f'n shocked. Mario Williams is a great player, but #1 worthy? That should of been Bush. Unf$#@%believable.

    I think I just anti-climaxed; I hope this wasn't a money issue.

There's a trade coming. I just know it. They have something planned in the works.

So does negotiations with Reggie Bush seize? Or is it inked in already?

I swear, if I had a gun right now, and the the ones who made this decision were in front of me, I would blast their brains out.

No... there's not. The guy signed a deal, a deal that only the Texans can pay him.

I thought negotiations took place after drafting...not an NFL expert here, but I've been hyped up for MONTHS (since Rose Bowl) to see Bush in a Texas uniform...this is so sad

I hope so too. Maybe they are taking him for the Jets and getting D'brick and the late 1st rounder they wanted.

New Orleans is really going to make out quite well on this especially after signing Drew Brees and not having to worry about getting a QB

Not if you have the #1 pick... unless you were going to trade it (but since they've agreed to a deal, that's not possible).

David Carr better be MVP next year.

This is just a horrible pick. Williams is a great player, but when you have the #1 pick you take the best player available.

Who made this decision? Casserly? Isn't he retiring after the draft?

WOW, I was at my friend's house when I heard this, I simply had to go home and check out this BS. I was finally ready to watch the Texans more closely, was never a fan, but with someone as explosive and great as Bush, I just had to become a fan....and now this? Texans just lost 1 fan, I hope there are many others like me too.

I really didn't think we were going to get Bush -- i'm a little bummed, but obviously Kubiak (who badly wanted Mario) had the final say.

After all this though -- I would not at all be shocked if there was a trade for Vince.

what kind of trade could they make? they signed Williams to a contract. The Texans, outside of Andre and Robinson, have no tradeable assets.

I was shocked at first, but hey we'll just have to wait and see. It's not like Williams is a bad prospect. People that call this the Sam Bowie-Jordan redux is forgetting that Williams is a very good prospect. Great prospect? Probably not but it's not like we're getting a Bowie.
