Pretty incredible that a SP makes 3 defensive plays in OF that (almost) single handedly kept the game tied. Gotta love baseball, always potential for something you've never seen before
Or that the Pirates are the anti-Astros... and they get less out of pitchers rather than more. Has there been any stories about how the Astros turned Cole into the most dominant pitcher in baseball, while the Pirates had him for prime years and actually helped contribute to his regression?
It was in jest. I keep seeing references to starting pitchers that were developed primarily in the Astros Minor League System. VV is throwing people out as a left fielder. Musgrove gave up a homer. Woj has a weird name. Houser exists. Sandoval is be starting tonight if Angels don't use opener. Mengden got optioned. Lyles is still around.
Not sure where the Luke Scott and Aaron Judge comments were, but Luke wasn't wrong with what he was talking about... https://www.newsday.com/sports/colu...of-secret-of-aaron-judge-s-success-1.17307550
Houston Astros all-time roster https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Houston_Astros_all-time_roster http://houston.astros.mlb.com/hou/history/players.jsp Amazing how many guys I have forgotten about.
I think that Sandoval kid got called up by the Angels, the one we traded to the Angels for Machete last year.
Yep. He was the bulk last night and had a solid line. 5IP, 3H, 2R, 2ER, 2BB, 8K All things considered that’s a fantastic first game in the majors.
