So, not wanting men to be allowed in women's restrooms makes him a bigot? You don't have to be anti-gay to be against this. You really don't even have to pretend to be a women to go into the womens restroom. Calling what he said a support of discrimination is flat out untrue. Get rid of that one aspect of the bill and I would be fine with it. If Lance and his ilk are still against it, than we can talk about being pro discrimination.
Thank you Lance for bringing up the epidemic of transgenders raping everyone in public bathrooms. I had no idea.
Good for you Lance These guys complaining would throw a fit if their daughter was in a restroom and a dude walked in on her just because he says "well I feel like a girl so..."
Wait just a gosh darned minute. Berkman's last team was the Texas Rangers so shouldn't they be getting all the flak?
This is so stupid. A man can have an opinion for the sake of his own family's well-being anymore? Just cause you stand on the other side of the fence, gives you the right to tell somebody to "get bent"? **** that. This doesnt make him anti-transgender or anti-gay, just fearful for his own daughters safety. He has that right doesnt he? **** keith law.
The dude is using his status as a baseball player to openly opress a group of people. I get the feeling a lot of people agreeing with Lance have no clue what a transgendered person has to go through.
Yes he does. He doesn't want men to have access to areas where his wife and daughters change and use the restroom. I have no idea if Lance is a bigot or not, but I don't want males having access to where my wife uses the restroom or a changing area. They can make male, female and a general restroom if they want.
Opress? That might be too strong of a word here. You are absolutely right in the fact that we have no clue what they're going through, but at the same time they shouldnt be put on a pedestal either. And its not so much Lance using his celebrity as much as its Propostion 1 using Lance as their figurehead. It just so happens to be a subject and controversial topic that Lance agrees with. The US President would handle a hostage situation onboard an airplane about to collide into a populated city or metroplex by shooting it down. He would not risk the sake of thousands for the sake of less than a 100 people on board that plane. This analogy is too extreme but my point is that you can not allow a few to dictate the outcome of the whole. Look, Im all for transgenders to feel comfortable in their own skin and have the rights as anybody else would but not at the cost of somebody else's discomfort and privacy. In this case women using the restroom. Transgenders can force their way through into using the women's restroom but wouldnt that make them a hypocrite of violating other peoples right as well? Transgender people are not special, theyre just stuck in a time where there are no easy answers to fix them at the moment. Its quite delusional to think that there wont be some men out there, in this day and age, taking advantage of this situation to pull a quick peeping tom or even worse. There are no right or wrong views, Lance's just happens to differ from yours and thats why hes campaigning for votes to let it shake out fairly and just. I avoid the D&D cause I hate debating and am not very good at it. So Ill end here. **** keith law.
They chose to transgender Why should lance need to have a clue about their problems? He should worry about his wife and daughter being walked in on by a dude
We have Astros fans that are actually ashamed of him over THIS? Let the man speak his mind, geez. If you don't agree you're supposed to keep your mouth shut? **** that. I side with Lance here. I have no issues with LBGT's getting married and whatnot, but if you have a penis, I expect you to use the Men's restroom. No matter how much you "feel" like a woman. Everyone now seems so willing to just go with the flow in fear of being criticized.
LOL at you necks going full r****d. You ignorant hayseeds are great at inventing problems that do not exist. You have an overactive fear response in what little brain you possess. Lance is an idiot and always was. He alienated many of his teammates with just this sort of nonsense.
Just cause Keith Law stands on the other side of the fence, that gives you the right to say **** Keith Law? Hypocrite.
