I splurged on seats right behind the Rockets bench at the Pelicans (/Cousins debut) game and my prime takeaways were that (1) Nene is ridiculously massive in person and (2) I was legitimately frightened someone was going to die watching him and Cousins grappling down low.
I want to know who in the hell lets these guys work out with free weights with no f@cking shoes on??? Ryno is barefoot, just what we need a guy out six weeks with a broken toe or foot, S&C coach and the player needs to grow a brain
Sounds horrific, but... If a guy's gonna piss muscles out of somewhere, medical science says that the dick is probably his best bet.
If you thought Chuck Hayes had strong hands, NeNe would destroy him. Sure, I'm obviously biased, but Ne is one of the strongest guys in the league. He goes unnoticed though. He's really only using a small portion of his offensive game, too, which has ironically benefited the team. I'm hoping he gets a couple of mismatches in the playoffs where he can use that super-quick first step to go towards the basket. This video is just another reminder of something that only a few teams have: happiness. It sounds corny, but Ne is definitely happy. Retirement was a thought 2 years ago...never comes up now.
He's in much better shape than last season. That's for sure. It shows too in how he's more consistently passing.by his defenders in one on one situations. He was stopped too many times last season.
