Hey guys, for the past year my brother and I have been working on our own side company. We sell mens new and gently used neckties.

Just created a facebook page for our company!

    https://www.facebook.com/ClutchCityTies

Our Ebay Store link is below

    http://stores.ebay.com/Clutch-City-Sales

We are trying to expand through social media now. Our ties are all priced very cheap, some starting at 0.99 cents. Thanks fellow Rocket Fans!

Perhaps I don't understand Ebay well enough, but if I click on the "Buy Now" link on a particular tie, it takes me to a page to place a bid. Whenever I see "Buy Now" on an item, i expect to be able to buy it. Should "Buy Now" be changed to "Bid Now"?

I hate wearing ties, but I like the way they look. My issue may be my neck size- 18. They really restrict my neck movement. Advice?

Is it ok to be using the phrase Clutch City?

You most likely just need to purchase extra long neckties.

    Don't tie them so tight.

    Heh, no.

I'm thinking it's my shirts; hard to find OTR shirts with my weirdo 36-44 body with an 18 inch neck.

Any advice on well fitting shirts that don't need to be tailored?

Yes, that's deceptive. Buy Now is an established term on eBay.

    Nice job!

As a bit of advice, I would push back the floral design ties or ties that look like theyre from the 80's to the back end of the pages. The first page should be modern, sleek, and current ties.

I don't know if you saw my classified here: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=253050 but I am recently somewhat into collecting neckties as a hobby. I watch lots of Ebay tie auctions and tie sellers.

My biggest tip is that you are currently ending your auctions on Wednesday. End them on Sunday, earlier in the day. You will see your returns multiply. Also, I don't know how well cheap ties sell, but if you have a good supply of designer ties, you may want to consider branching off a second ebay account targeted at only designer ties. Good luck!

I think there's a company that a coworker said she got an interview for was selling ties on eBay. I believe they were located between Katy and Memorial. She said they were making quite the profit off of them.
