Living alone and having my GF live an hour away means that I microwave alot of ****.

Some stuff works well in a TV dinner. Examples:

    Mac & Cheese
Salisbury Steak (I love microwavable SS more than homemade...I'm a freak)
    Lasagna

Other things, while not as good, are at least passable. Examples:

    Meat Loaf
    Spaghetti

    Other things...not so much.

    Broccoli
    Alfredo sauce
    Shrimp
    Pizza

Those foods are good in real life...but frozen then microwaved they are downright awful...

Anyone have any stuff they want to add to any category? I'm eating and bored.

Use an oven for microwavable food and they taste much better. Takes more time but its worth it.

When I was about 10, I remember this one brand of frozen/microwaveable meals that was directed towards kids.
I remember one of the meals had mashed potatoes and those were the worst mashed potatoes I've ever had in my life

    Marie Calendar is delish.

    Too bad it's ridiculously unhealthy.

Marie Callender/Boston Market pot pies taste good. The crust is flakey and crisp.

    Fried chicken
Tyson/Banquet breaded chicken(breast meat is best)
Hot Wings-really good with some ranch or blue cheese dressing.
    Canned soups

You can also make your own little meal. Tyson/Banquet chicken breast strips and frozen vegetables. Throw some marinara sauce on it and microwave for 5-6 minutes in a microwave safe dish. It's very filling and much better than those tiny tv dinners.

I would stay away from beef or pork though. They are usually fattening and have tough texture or highly processed.

I strangely enjoyed those when I was a kid. I think it had to do with the packaging/marketing.

    Yeah, that was it.
    That stuff was gross.
The marketing was clever though, I remember their commercials being all over Nickelodeon.

Corn and mashed potatoes usually suck in microwavable dinners.

Mashed potatoes usually have the consistency of grits.

    Good
    Microwave
    Food

    Pick 2.

But seriously, those Hungry Man and Healthy Choice are the worst. In fact I pretty much put any TV dinner with meat and vegetables together in the worst catagory.

Those Tyson popcorn chicken or chicken strips are good though, especially when you use the oven.
