t-will first because he's not happy here. i would only send bud away if morris can step into the SF position and produce. If we could send only one, i would ship t-will over bud because bud the 2nd unit has good chemistry

Im pretty sure this is something similar to the offer out there from Morey. Hopefully he stands firm and doesnt cave at the deadline. The only other wrinkle is Minnesota who does have a few players like Ridinour and Beasley whom the Lakers would have significant interest in as well. I have a feeling that If Morey wants this to happen he's gonna have to send Minnesota Martin to get Beasley to the Lakers in a 3 way.

Hill is a keeper, Scola is worth more than you give him credit for, same with Dragic...

That would be crazy...I wish we would forget about Pau for now. Last thing that we want to do is help Lakers get another ring.

Of course. But contractwise they are not good for the long run.
And Scola and Dragic are taking hostage of PT for Patterson, Donatas, Morris at the 4, Sergio Llull

You have to keep your teams interest in mind when you make moves. If it helps your team you have to do it, and not worry about how much better you make other teams.

Take last year as an example. Even the Memphis/Battier trade last year helped the Rockets get the draft pick that netted them Donatas Montiejunas. Sure it hurts that the Rockets were pushed out of the playoff mix by Memphis, but the Rockets might be better off in the longrun for giving up Battier if Montiejunas turns into a franchise changing player.

The front office thought they were better off trading Battier for a draft pick then losing him for nothing in the summer so they had to make the move.

Not to derail the thread here or anything, but if the Gasol deal makes sense for the Rockets then they must do it despite what it does for the Lakers.

Did you even bother with the original post in this thread?

Lakers will only trade Pau for a "marquee player".

If we got Pekovic I'd be willing to do this trade. Minnesota is not giving him up though.

If Morey somehow snatches Pau from the Lakers by giving up Flynn with Scola and Martin instead of Dragic, i'd be a happy Rocket.

How does Dragic hold up a bunch of dudes stuck overseas when his contract expires before they wear a Rockets uniform? Morris has been in the D-league learning a new position until last night. I really don't see how Scola is taking anything hostage either. Patterson gets plenty of time for now.
