My street is officially flooded. Just a few hours of rain and the water is covering my car tires. Stupid sewage in Houston. And the worse part is that I have this big bayou right by the house thats filled up too. (mosquitos gunna be plenty soon) so is your part of town flooded? i live near hw6 and bellaire.
Yes, I'm out in Spring and I'm flooded in also. I'm starving and ready to get some lunch but I can't get out.
I was driving down Wilcrest and I saw one car floating. So thus I made a U-turn only to see the other part of Wilcrest flooded too. I finally drove on the middle barrier and made it back to my place. Someone told me that cars are starting to float around around this area.
It finally just stopped here... 290 & BW8 but we got about 3 hours solid rain.... going to brave a trip to mcdonalds...
Yeah, but I had to shovel 5 inches of wet, sticky snow this morning and will probably have to shovel another 3 tonight and another 3 tomorrow.
Yep I just got back from lunch when I turned onto Wilcrest from Westheimer it was so bad I drove into a parking lot and held out till the water died down some.. I got to see 3 cars stall out in the same spot.. I felt bad for not helping, but it was on the other side of the road and they had each other to help push the cars.. I'm not gonna lie, it was fun watching people try and make it across the water.. After chillin for about 20 mins I found a back road and made it back to the office about 30 mins ago..
i live off briarforest and dairy ashford. Briarforest east of hw 6 is pretty much flooded. My neighborhood is flooded, but some of the streets aren't so i just went around.
I'm looking out my window at Post Oak (near Westheimer) and see some poor dude with a 350Z convertible stuck in the water. He's been there about 20 minutes. I just looked and a couple of guys are behind it now trying to push him to higher ground.
Ja Rule said it best Yea I feel the rain comin down on me *****, heh When the sun gon' shine? My lord, somebody help us all, heheh
Flooded by NW Mall. Almost couldn't get back to work from lunch. Its all the construction. Houston still hasn't put in a sufficient drain system that is up to date with the construction that has gone on in the past 10 years in this city. I remember after allison engineers were saying the city has sunk also. this crap used to never happen, now it happens everytime there is a large down pour for a couple of hours.
When it snows, you can shovel it. Trucks can drive down the road and clear it away. Salt can be put on the roads to make them driveable. When it floods, there ain't s**t you can do about it.
