I just read on a German sports site that Schrempf recently had a fistfight with Scottie Pippen in practice. Of course that would make me like Det even more [IMG]. Does anyone know if that is true and if so, does anyone have a link to an article about it? Thanks.

Hey Det, have you ever noticed that your boy, Detlef, has one eye higher on his head than the other? He reminds me of Sloth from The Goonies... [IMG]

Yeah, he doesn't look particularly handsome - it is just that he was the only NBA player from Germany when I chose the name, so I rooted for him...

What I really like about Schrempf is his flat top/mullet hybrid shaved on the sides. That takes balls.

Would have liked to see that fight. I am sure Schrempf won because Pippen is such a wimp. Does Dirk even have a nickname yet? I'm not sure. I think at some point they called Schrempf "White Magic", so that name is taken already. Too bad that Dallas will never let Dirk go. He would be perfect for the Rockets...

    Hey Det,

Is it pronounced Novitzki or Nowitzki? I've always though it was the former, but last night some of the commentators were pronouncing it with a w. Mind you, one of them souded like he was calling him Derek Nowitzki

In German, "W" is pronounced "V" and "V" is pronounced "F".

It's pronounced No-vitz-kee. "W" is pronounced like a "W" in German, but "V" is not always pronounced like an "F". "V" could be soft as in "Vaseline" (pronounced similar to English) or "hard" as in "Vater" (Father)...
