Derek Fisher has been fined $5,000 for violating the league’s anti-flopping rules, it was announced on Monday. The play in question occurred during the second quarter of the Rockets’ win over the Thunder in Game 5 of their first round playoff series. This was the hilarious “double flop” achieved in perfect synchronization by both Fisher and Kevin Martin, but Martin, for reasons unknown, came away unscathed by the league office. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7LcuksJonNo?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports....-video/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
Why does the league take so long to review these plays? And yeah it doesn't make sense that Kevin Martin got away with it. SMH
along with fines, technicals should be given to players as well.. those technicals should add up with regular techs and after 7 its a suspension.. you will see how a derek fisher with 6 technicals manages to regain his balance and stay on his feet..
only 5000? SMH... If i was an nba player I would gladly pay 5000 to get a charge call out of a flop in a crucial game....
Fisher is a good actor, I'll give him that. (a backhanded compliment, for those who are slow, as I DON'T like him, ok..)
