Morey got too cute letting our 2 freaking defenders walk in the offseason knowing our defensive coach is going to retire. He has to be held accountable for this crap. He needs to cut Nene . Bring in a defensive backup big. Trade Ennis Knight and one of those future 1st for a quality defender .
We'll never know what restrictions and instructions Tilman gave Daryl this season, but this offseason is likely going to be the most disastrous moment of Morey's career.

It's time to start considering if Morey is as good as people think he is. The addition of Anthony has been a disaster and Paul's contract starts to look like a huge mistake. He paid a ridiculous contract for Anderson and then changed it for injured Knight. It has been one mistake after another. This team has become a bad joke that is defeated by any rival. It is almost unbearable to watch a game, there is no game plan, there are no ideas and there is not even a desire to play. I think it's time to make changes at all levels.
I think a lot of it is Tilman. After spending money on Capela and Paul the moves after that was not good. Under Les I’ve never seen Morey make this many miscues in one offseason like this one.
It's unbelievable how people are throwing Morey under the bus after 10 games. What was he supposed to do? Let Paul or Capela walk? Pay Ariza $15M? Turn down Melo for a minimum contract to replace Anderson? Arguably, the only signing he's on the hook for this season was thinking that MCW could play NBA basketball. Seriously, stop crying and playing armchair general.
Morey's seat should be hot. Unless this is actually an issue of Tilman not having any money, Morey is responsible for taking a team that went 7 against the Warriors and knocking it down a peg. Picking up MCW and Melo is inexcusable.
Sure. The thing is every other GM is very aware of Morey and won't even consider handing him Jimmy Butler. Dun get me wrong, there are other players as well but Jimmy was moving the needle. IMHO MDA's failure is Morey's failure too.
So many solid players were/are on the market, yet we get none. Tired of Morey trying to be cute with these awful scrub signings, hoping they turn out alright. This guy is nowhere as good as some make him out to be.
Anderson was a great signing at the time. Dude was averaging about 15-16 ppg on 40% 3P shooting. Easily one of the best stretch 4s, then. Unfortunately Knight is not back yet, but it's still TBD if he can contribute. My guess is, he certainly can. Bold is what is wrong with most of the verbal posters, here. Everyone looks at the mistakes, but no one bats an eye at the successes. Since Morey became the GM (2007), we've not once been under .500 in 11 seasons. We've made the playoffs in 8 out of the 11, and in the 3 that we didn't, we were the 9th seed. We stole James Harden from OKC, and he's probably this franchise's 2nd best player in history, after Hakeem. So this season has been bad, so far. Guess what - it's only been 20 games. There's 62 more to go. Only 5 games separate us from the top seed. We're only 2 games out from a playoff berth, if the playoffs started today. People need to chill the hell out and let Morey do his thing. The thing he typically does, so that the Rockets are always relevant.
