First match of the day starts now. Curious to see Uruguay, one of the dark horses. No Salah for Egypt.

 

Incredible mistake by Egypt not putting Salah in if he was capable. They were getting chances but they needed someone to create and finish. They could've won this game.

If Salah was able to go for just a few minutes, he would've played. Too risky, I guess. Especially against defenders like Godín. They'll need Salah against Russia, that one is crucial for Egypt.

Glad Uruguay won this, they didn't play well but at least tried.

It's so bad because he is LITERALLY the last player any Moroccan fan would have wanted to see on the pitch. His inclusion in the squad is one that was confusing to all. Of course the only impact he has is to score an own goal smh.

 

Excellent start. Worst case would've been a boring 0-0 because none of them wanted to take any risk and relied on beating Iran and Morocco. Now we have ourselves a game.
