I hope so, OKC 2nd rounders are worth nothing so, i guess it has to be at least a 1st on paper, but you never know, it only takes a dumb team like...wait for it...Chicago, which is the same team that traded them Gibson, McDermott and an early 2nd for Cameron Payne.

They can also trade Ferguson now that i think about it, fwiw.

    No.

We will need rynos salary at some potentially, no need to burn it now for a guy who will be bought out

Harden, CP3, and Capela is enough to secure at least the 2nd seed...stay calm

He doesn't care about winning it as much as he cares about the instagram post after winning it.

You kept pointing that out about Melo off the bench. So if this comes to fruition, good call!

I know you're being a jerk right now lol but its more about putting him into the box every one is trying to place him in. Overanalyzing every aspect of his performance.

He's not saying just go out there in jack up shots but of course you took this as an opportunity to throw in a zinger.

All of this. And also means the Rockets have REAL plans for the starting SF spot. Meaning, Not Melo. And likely Not Ennis (thought they probably want Ennis available off the bench).

This means we could be looking at a TRADE of Ryan Anderson for a serviceable starting SF.

Bazemore is not the perfect starting SF. But it is always hard to check the boxes. Some of the things he DOES bring to the table would be nice additions to the Rockets.

    1) He can actually put he ball on the floor and attack the basket. Something Ariza struggled with. Opens up the offense even more.

    2) He is FAST and can get out in transition for easy baskets. Ariza was too slow in this regard. Luc was better at this and you saw how that helped the team when he got those points.

Bazemore could work well in switches. He is only 6'5" sure. And he isn't very strong so that hurts in the post. But he still brings a lot to the table.

If the Rockets could get him for RA with minimal sweeteners, they should do it.

The question I have is if we are playing Melo off the bench then who would be our starter at SF???

The headline doesn't make sense as we hot no one at the SF so Melo has to start.

We need defense from the 3, Melo needs to play the 4. You can project him as the starting 4, but if he's your 3 you have problems. Morey alluded to having until the deadline to add the defensive wing we need. Feigen reiterated the need today. The headline makes sense... we don't have a 3 yet. But we don't have Melo yet either...

the headline the op made is misleading. this reads more like an opinion piece. feigan actual wrote the rockets "MAY" want melo off the bench, which sounds more like his opinion. big difference from saying the rockets WANT melo off the bench.
