http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterocke...dline-talks-werent-a-waste-of-time-after-all/ They were in serious talks with the Rockets that day, working to hammer out a deal right up until noon Eastern when Howard signed the paperwork to opt in. There would seem little reason for the Magic to move Howard before next season, especially if they are willing to fire a fine coach to appease him. But if the uncertainty that inspired the trade talks last month remains until the next trade deadline, those talks would likely be renewed. The Rockets would go back to the beginning, trying to outbid all the teams that would want the league’s best center. In their case, that would likely have to be – as it was last month – without a guarantee that they could keep him. But they had the Magic interested once; they could again. Until then, Van Gundy grew tired of the act and exposed his smiling center. Howard appeared stunned to have be called out. The Magic drama ratcheted up several notches as all the teams, the Rockets included, that would so desperately want him saw reason to plan the chase anew.
he can come here and get more lessons from Dream. and get lessons from McHale. DH's post game still is weak.
The interesting part is that Feigen seems to think that the trade talk got pretty serious even though none of the national media reported Houston as a leading destination. I wonder what offer was being discussed. Also, if things get really ugly, Howard might be traded as soon as the end of the season or draft day. The team has plenty of depth still. They can trade, say, Lowry, Martin, Dalembert, Patterson, Morris and any or all of their first round picks for Hedo and Howard and still have a good and deep rotation if they bring back Dragic, Lee and Camby.
I want him to come to Houston so I can get some Rockets Red Dwight Howards. And yeah for a championship too.
If he comes he'd demand the whole team and staff to be traded ASAP and then smile in front of camera, saying how he loves the team.
I believe it, when he is here. Part of me do not want him here because of his flip-flopping attitude and Parsons will be the 1st player the Magic want in return. Part of me want Dwight = instant contender. I'm sure the Rockets will inquire, right Morey?!?!?!?
Ha ha ha, it never ends. Another year of "no GM is more active at the deadline than Daryl Morey". Another year of mediocrity. Another year wasted.
If that's his demands for re-upping with the team for an extension, Morey would fire McHale in a second. And as a fan I'd support his decision.
Dwight Howard is a fraud. He's the best center in the game by default and is quickly growing into a cancer.
There's a point at which it seems like it's really not at all voluntary. And one can be a fan and still disagree with an approach or a decision. If he weren't a fan, he wouldn't care at all...clearly he does.
