Anyone know what the significance is of "Chicago this week?" For those new to the BBS, Jonathan Feigen is the Chronicle's beat-writer for the Rockets and consistantly shows as much if not more accessibility to the Rockets than other journalists. btw, has Feigen ever started a trade rumor through the paper? Why is it that the Chronicle rarely starts Rockets rumors?
I believe the draft camp or whatever it's called is in Chicago this week. A lot of the players will be working out. And I agree with no "real trade talk until this week". So far, all the Rockets should have done is explored what they can get from every team possible. After this camp, they should narrow it down and really start negotiating or deciding that they want to keep the pick. I find it hard to believe how certain some of these people are that a deal has already been made.
The NBA Pre-Draft Camp is this week. I'm guessing people want to look at some of the players before really getting into the trade talk.
Also, this is the equivalent of baseball's "winter meetings" or the NFL owners' meeting. You put all those GM's, scouts and coaches in one place at the same time and deals are easier to discuss.
i think that any deal being made with us will only unclude the 15th pick and either rice, moT, or kt.
