I would just like to thank everyone here for keeping "someone" focused on this thread and thus effectively lowering his post count in the Texans forum.

    Carry on.

If I did my math correctly she will be eligible to run for POTUS in October 2024 just before that years elections. Can she run in a primary if she is under age? Assuming there is nothing permitting her from running in the primary or getting on the ballots prior to her being 35 given most of that would have to be done before she would become of age, I sincerely hope she runs.

Dude.... she's a first-time candidate for the House in New York. It's wild that people, on both sides, are putting this kind of expectation on her.

Why would you want someone so inexperienced to run? Look at what inexperience has done to the current administration .

Because the scary woman wants to give him healthcare, freeing up untold amounts of time and money saved in preventative medicine, and allow him to put those resources and efforts into other economic activity.

Lol I know he's just trying to be cute while genuinely believing people on this message board want her to run for President.

CML apparently didn't learn from the 2016 election that literally anyone can become President. Millions of Democrats were praying that Trump won the RNC primary.

I don't want Cortez as President. Her heart is in the right place but she's a bit too naive and young to manage the world's largest bureaucracy and command the world's most powerful military.

Yeah....because the government taking over healthcare will certainly make it cheaper, nothing says efficiency like the US government....

Also, do you realize that you are casually talking about literally doubling taxes as a first step? You don't think that'll have any economic effects?

If you really think that "the truth" can overrule data, then you are just plain uneducated.

Why are you asking that? Is that what you believe?

Hey brah, when did anyone say anything about "immigrants"?

I believe the correlation between rape and socialism to be near or at zero. Your post I quoted does something trolly you often do, implying cause and effect links between two phenomena that don't have any logical connection at all. Then you follow up with irrelevant data and claim victory.

It's not just rape that is plagueing Sweden: Anti-Jewish attacks are on the rise.

It's not as though this was something no one saw coming, nor is it something new to Sweden. This video is from 2010 -- very foreboding.

Well, this proves that Ocasio-Cortez brand of socialism just plain sucks. What a b****!

It was the obvious implication considering your post history. This is one of your recent posts citing racial unity and mass immigration in Western Europe. Obtuse Cohete.

Sweden isn't a socialist country. I really wouldn't have thought I'd have to spell that out. They are a capitalist welfare state, it's not the same thing.

They are a failed Western state. Fortunately there non-Western European countries willing to absorb the ethnic Swedish refugees. You know, those countries who survived the oppressive hand of Soviet rule and are not currently destroying their countries with mass immigration.

Point is, socialism or not, this is the system which Bernie Sanders pointed to during his campaign and career.

    Japan will succeed.
    Poland will succeed.
    Sweden will...not succeed.

At the rate they are going, Sweden will no longer be Swedish by the end of this century.

I paraphrase Nigel Farage circa 2010: when you rob people of their identity, when you take away their democracy, all they are left with is nationalism and violence. How true.

Yeah but I think we need to be clear about what we are talking about. Bernie Sanders is a Social Democrat that foolishly calls himself a socialist, so he'd support a system like they have in Sweeden or one of the other Nordic states. An actual Democratic Socialist would want an actual socialist system.

We can talk about how the Swedish welfare state got screwed up by mass immigration and other things like that, but it hasn't actually ruined their country, it is just making it into a nation more like America where a welfare state won't work. The only reason they were able to maintain the low crime welfare state for as long as they were able to do so is because they started out as a fairly wealthy capitalist country with a homogeneous population that was naturally averse to crime and violence. it was a house of cards, a situation that very few countries find themselves in and a situation that might be over for them.

When they change to a more sustainable model of government, they may end up being better off with the added diversity even if in the short term it has kind of ruined what they had.

I can't wait until Ocasio-Cortez nationalizes the banks, health care, and the oil & gas industries.

Good times are coming. Viva la'revolucion.
