haven't had the lowfat cherry garcia, but the original is right up there on my favorites list, same w/ blue bell's cookie 'n cream, coffee, and peppermint.
OK, if we're talking about brands I have not found one that I like better than Breyer's. It's freaking great!
It's my neighborhood ice cream store - who you callin' low-income????? Actually, its all good since you turned me onto Hank's several years ago. Sorry, but your wrong. It's all about Hank's Pralines and Cream. Believe or not, their Guiness was pretty darn good.

Blue Bell Moo-llenium Crunch, excellent. Whoever mentioned that one. I never got too much into Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla, though I did appreciate it later on. It was too much the "mom's" choice of ice cream and I wanted cookies and fudges and all kinda stuff for more fun tastes. Plus for whatever reason it always seemed to melt and break down easy and when trying to freeze it back, not too edible....But that goes for any ice cream of course. Favorite right now, Breyers with Peanut Butter Cups. Add some root beer, mmmmm decadence
Thats like the worst brand ever! It's so thin, has too much air, melts real fast and moreover it's like flavored ice. But thats just me....
The Guiness ice cream is really good, but y'all gotta try the Grape Nuts. He pulverizes Grape Nuts cereal and swirls it into French Vanilla. It will blow your mind.
That, my friend, is the reason Hank's is awesome!!!!!! I'll have to try the Guiness and the Grape Nuts. I haven't tried the pralines and cream either...but with all the unique flavors I always find it hard to go with a classic ice cream flavor. After reading this thread I had my husband pick me up some Cherry Garcia....he almost got the lowfat version (I was on the phone with him) but I told him to get the original. Now I'm bummed I didn't try the low-fat yogurt version (I missed your post somehow). I think I would enjoy the more cherry flavor also. Oh well, gotta stop at the store again tonight!!!!!
Last time I took my 75 year old Mom to Hank's, she ordered the rum raisin. Hank was behind the counter, and he asked her for her ID, to make sure she was "old enough to have rum". I love that place!
Picked up a pint of this the other day on a whim, just had a little...it is the ****. No idea if it's a limited time thing or what but it's worth checking out. "Buttery bourbon ice cream with pecans, shortbread cookie pieces and a whiskey caramel swirl."
