Lou/Reddick/EGO/Harden/Ryno lineup and troll the NBA by shooting 100% of our shots from 3.

This really needs to be a driving point. I'd be shook leaving the meeting and not committing to the Rockets.

Yep. Ibaka's only decline has been that he's gone from "might one day be a superstar" to "nah, he's already reached his ceiling." That ceiling looks pretty good to a team that's starved for interior size and defense (if it includes a 3pt-shot, of course).

I find it interesting that the Rockets have young players signed to cheap multi-year contracts at the following positions:

    PG: Isaiah Taylor
    SG: NONE
    SF: Troy Williams
    PF: Montrezl Harrell, Kyle Wiltjer
    C: Chinanu Onuaku

So basically, the Rockets have in house cheap replacements locked up if they find themselves trading away a vet who plays any position except Harden's position. Not saying these guys would start, but if, for example, Lou Williams gets traded away and Rockets sign a guy with the ensuing cap space to play PF and has no money beyond min to get another backup PG, Isaiah Taylor is already there to soak up backup minutes.

Teams are gonna want high draft picks or young players with high upside. Paul George would be awesome but not sure how we can get him

Really hope we can get a starting 5 who can shoot 3s. That's the only thing preventing us from seeing Moreyball in its final form.

This would be ideal. Dump Ryan and add George and this team would on level with GS. Play George as the stretch 4. Nearly as good a 3pt shooter, 1000× better defender and playmaker.

A starting center who shoots 3's has nothing to do with moreyball in its final form.

PG13 would be amazing, but we really don't have the trade assets.

If George were to come here who would change their number? Harden or George?

It said in the article he doesnt like playing PF but these days the lines are so blurred he probably wouldnt even notice he was playing PF. Even still PG is definitely a upgrade over Ariza.

actually its obviously you who doesn't lol. sounds like you think moreyball is all 5 guys on the floor jacking up 3's. that's probably the most basic part that you'd only understand

The best would be a Center that can pass, shoot and still be banging down low and have a decent post game.

    A better Dmo.

That's literally what Morey wants. Completely opening up the paint for Harden makes it much easier for him to convert near the paint. A stretch 5 is a total matchup nightmare for traditional bigs, and it'll be the only way we can beat Golden State.

A center with zero offensive talent besides converting alley oops is not exactly optimal for what Morey wants to do.

Anderson's salary straight up for George would work(I think) as would a package of Ariza, Lou, and Harrell. The problem is I can't see Bird going for that. Maybe if we throw in a few picks, but Morey tends to not do that except when we want the Lakers to take crappy players off our hands(Lin, Brewer).

I don't think anyone is gonna want Rhino's contract.

So are you just going to be a contrarian to my posts or actually provide something of substance? Ignored.
