So I offered player A and B for player C. The other team accepted the trade. It is fair. Now the commish saw this trade and thought to himself "oh wow, I didn't see that player C was on the block! let me offer player D and player E for him!" He vetoed the trade (obviously) and is probably asking other people to veto the trade. How do you feel about this?
In order to make a judgment, it would be helpful if you would tell us the players involved so we can discern if it was a fair trade.
I would ask him for player G and player H and give him player I. In all seriousness, if that is why he vetoed, because he did not know he was on the block and wanted to trade for him that is weak to say the least.
I'll admit the commissioner's trade was slightly better than mine. I just wanted to see how everyone felt about the scenario, regardless of the players involved.
Any team has a right to vote to veto any trade for whatever reason. Since your league has a league vote setup (not sure how many votes are needed to veto a trade) it does not matter if the team that votes to veto the trade is the commish or not. There could be a problem if one team is attempting to get other teams to vote against a trade. If the commish succeeds in getting other people to vote against your trade, then motives need to be questioned.
