I have already felt the cool touch of fall here in Austin, and it feels pretty damn good. It's 70 degrees right now w/ a nice breeze; it was 93 degrees about 1 1/2 hours ago. ------------------

You guys are sissies. I remember back in the day, it used to get to 130 degrees and we had NO air conditioning. And we couldn't afford shoes and had to walk to school on hot pavement and there was no medicine to put on the blisters. ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1. BobFinn*, Sounds like you grew up near my neighborhood. We didn't have toys growing up. Especially nothing "hi-tech" like: Playstation, or N64, no Super Nintendo, not Nintendo, nor a Commodore, or Intellevision, or Atari, not even a Coleco Vision.... We didn't even have a television until I was about 7. We got to play with rocks and sticks and dirt, and only made mud pies after a good rain. And, we liked it! POST COUNTDOWN TO 2000: (1988) - 1988 was a pretty good year for me. I turned 18 in January, graduated highschool, got my first job, got my first car, started college (ummm, why am I still in college?), and met a cute girl (little did she know about 5 months later I'd have my hooks into her and she'd never get a way. uh, I married her, I didn't stalk her.) You guys complain about heat? How about throwing some this way? From Memorial Day to Labor Day, it rained 2/3 of the time. And we only got 90 degree temperature 3 times! You guys suck. ------------------
Not to mention the family cow he had to milk, then carry back to the farm on his back for 7 miles because it only had 2 legs and then had to do it in the snow in 130 degree heat to top it off. ------------------ I got nothin'.
