I don't think DanAndToni survives the year
If we drop out of the playoff picture. . .i think he is gone

I think a lot of it is situational too. If the other team is coming back, stop chucking. Just move the scoreboard up. If you get 2 points its just as good as 3 in clutch moments because you are running clock. Every time you score you run clock in the last 6-7 minutes of a game. You don't need to knock them out, just keep them at bay, keep the scoreboard moving, make the clock your ally.

Clearly you can look at the league and say it works; not getting past a historically great team shouldn't be the measuring stick but it's adoption in varying capacities throughout the league. I think the Harden/Morey combo just takes it too far while this new owner hasn't made thoughtful moves (excluding thoughtful ways to save money).

Harden's game has gotten to the point where I finally agree with the talking heads; generational offensive player with an ugly game to watch.

Literally 3 more buckets from mid-range/post up and this is a win. And this applies for many of our playoffs losses as well. Just so frustrating that the team is so stubborn (mainly Harden) about not taking easier shots just because they're worth 1 point less.

Agreed. The Bucks are a great example of Morey Ball done right. We had it right in 2017-2018, but still it was us dying by the 3 that ultimately killed us. The jury is still out on the Bucks, but unlike us they have drastically improved after their conference finals exit. Last year we really regressed.

In before some idiot justifies it by saying all the other teams copied us.

It's all situational. The Rockets don't understand situational basketball, therefore they continue to choke 4th quarters.

He should be gone right now.

Everybody here blaming Moreyball but Moreyball does work. We have seen it work cuz the entire league shoots more 3s now and decreased mid range. If it "doesnt work" why d hell is everyone copying it?

The problem here is Moreyball is now done by almost all the teams so the Rox arent special anymore, other teams have caught up. They have coaches who took Moreyball but adapted it to their system, coaches like Bud, Nurse and Spoelstra. We got a 70 yr old relic of former times still trying to do 7SOL. No wonder the Rox always run around like a chicken with its head cut off when Harden is cold. They have no gameplan or adjustments.

That's still 1.41 points per possession on free throws,
    1.38 on 2's...

    0.60 on 3's...

Low IQ ball to keep taking 3s.

Cue Steve Carell, "THANK YOU!" gif. Maybe, just maybe.....during a timeout?

I'm so over MDA. No, I don't have a better answer. Yes, he has a fantastic track record here. How many do they need to lose in a row before we think those past results won't predict future performance?

Moreyball is good when you have players who can actually shoot. Unfortunately we don't and I wonder who is at fault for that.

3 is more than 2, but 2 is more than 0.

No way harden goes 1/17 on mid range jumpers.

Maybe like 5/17, but not 1/17.

Exactly the point. The most efficient shot is variable. The amount of points (1 / 2 / 3) is only one of the parameters.

Yep, at some point you have to settle for a bucket and not care how the ball goes through the hoop and just that it actually does.

This is something a coach should emphasize.

    We, unfortunately, have no coach.

If you look at Harden's body he is much leaner there, I doubt he can get his fat ass up that high to dunk with authority like that anymore lol
