One makes his teammates better, the other doesn't.

I agree, in the sense that ESPN is going to start whining about him constantly. We only have one season left before the "WHAT HAS HE WON" crap starts up too.

right, because carmelo anthony said he would rather avg 18 pts and 10 assist than 28 pts.

Harden does become a ball-stopper when he becomes Harden Iso-Man who makes some questionable decisions, sure, but nowhere near on the level of Carmelo Anthony.

    Nowhere near.

Stupid ESPN does stupid things. I usually like these truehoop segments, but this is way off base.

And the worst part is people look at these, and without forming their own opinion, will just agree with it and join the bandwagon.

We just need to keep winning. All the superstars in this league have gone through this stage, where the criticism starts coming, and we just need to deal with it and win

Guys, how about you actually listen to them instead of just reacting off the title? He actually makes some really good points.

I didn't agree just reading the title, but the analysis is solid.

The biggest point being made is Harden is evolving as a player and his next step is to balance the scoring he does now with the defense/passing he did in OKC. If he can do that the Rockets will be better.

I think most all of us can agree that the iso ball doesn't get good results (Harden is the best at it on our team, but it's still not great). That I feel is just a 24 year old trying to figure it all out, and fact is last year he HAD to do it, he is trying to relearn how to play with a much better cast around him.

If you actually listen to their analysis, it was quite positive. They compared Rockets to Heat and said if Rockets' offense and Harden can evolve like the Heat did, they can be top of the league.

    Pure garbage.

One's team wins, the other not so much.

Mmmm, Melo's team in Denver was pretty solid. Coaching and team talent reflects wins, not just one player.

Comparing Harden to Anthony ruins some otherwise interesting analysis. Harden certainly has areas where he needs improvement, but to compare his faults to Carmelo is ridiculous.

Basically says that harden at 24 is better or maybe better than melo but that his overall skill set as a passer and defender is alot better than melo and that even Lebron went through this stage so it's not alarming at all. Thorpe usually likes the rockets and harden and he's just pointing out that harden is on His way to top 5 player in the game on an elite team when he learns how to balance the team concept with his incredible skill set and if he can do it soon then the rockets have a legit chance at a western crown this season.

Sounds good to me he never said harden isn't a superstar and even said he's maybe the best scorer in iso in the game. Just that his passing is so good and could be as good as lebrons. That's high Praise but something in thought for a while. Harden really had the potential to be a 6'5 version of Lebron both our big physical and extremely talented for their size and position.
