Yep. If that’s how it’s going to be, might as well just watch the globetrotters.

So, what's your excuse for Dame, the better playoff performer, getting swept in the first round and posting negative winshare and VORP? Harden wasn't even capable of that.

You're telling me Harden is capable of having bad games in the playoffs, so is every single great player.

He is saying he's biased. So what's the problem?

At least he admits it not like all the other "analysts" who pretend to be objective.

Shouldn't we have higher standards for Harden than Lillard given that Harden is a perennial MVP candidate?

Harden doesn't play like a perennial MVP candidate in the playoffs. He plays like a innefficent high volume star. There are plenty of those types.

His drop from being an all time great regular season performer to your typical inefficient high usage chucker is a drastic fall relative to other superstars.

Harden drops b/c the league calls the playoffs differently. One way to look at this is that Harden isn't good enough for the playoff rules. But why does the league make the playoffs different? There really is no legitimate reason, other than the fact that it doesn't want certain play styles to win.

What play styles are ok? No one will ever say, except the league will adjust it based on fan opinion to maximize $. So teams are beholden to the media obsession with player narratives and hot-takes. You can't win with a new style unless the league agrees that your style brings in $.

    Inaccurate and extremely misleading representation.

Hardens career playoff averages 22/5/5 on .57 TS% has only been done in a single season playoff run 53 total times(by 28 different players) in nba history. And it’s pretty much a whose who of great players on that list.

His scoring efficiency drops from an all time great level to a Klay Thompson level scoring efficiency. Which isn’t inefficient or “typical high usage chucker”

It is true that Harden’s efficiency drops a little bit more than his contemporaries in the playoffs. But the level it drops to is better than your characterization.

Ts efficiency is not effective in comparing players of past generations. I would hope of all people you would understand this concept given how many times you are willing to call people dumbasses for not following your narrow set of analytical analysis.

I would but in another post you said something about Dame and Kawhi being better playoff performers. Kawhi is, he has a finals MVP and a Championship, but Dame isn't.

Harden's biggest issue is that he's run up against a team with 4 all-stars and two of them being MVP players.

    ?

If it were easier to achieve that mark nowadays then one would assume most of the names on that list would be guys from right now? But reality is a lot of that list is older guys.

If what he does in the playoffs is so average why are the only recent names who pop on that list guys like Curry, Lebron, Paul, Durant, Wade, Lillard, Giannis?

Is it possible that maybe despite his drop in efficiency, his production even at that lowered efficiency is still rare?

Nobody likes this offense outside of Houston. You are the one crying about how we don’t get any respect or whatever. There’s a reason and it has nothing to do with Houston. It’s all about the system.

Sorry your fragile ego can’t handle the truth. Go cry in your mommy’s basement about the poor little Rockets not being liked on ESPN. Lol.

And you can **** off too.
