In a sense, he killed Aaron's confidence...
But Lowry gained a lot of confidence.

    Elston Turner?

    http://www.chron.com/sports/rockets...name-from-Rockets-coaching-search-1692321.php

Assistant coach Elston Turner, expected to be a candidate for the Rockets’ head coaching position, withdrew from consideration Tuesday.

“Elston is taking himself out of the running as a candidate for the Houston Rockets’ head coaching position for reasons we choose not to explain,” said Warren LeGarie, Turner’s agent. “If circumstances should change in the future, we would have to look at this situation again.”

I was at the game where Brooks got injured. Didn't predict that it was his downfall.

Pretty much all of them. They wanted to implement a group with a different perspective.

Seriously, some of you guys didn't know assistant coaches was a key reason Adelman left the Rockets?

Yeah, that was revealed after he was gone. But for some reasons, it has not been caught on to be a major reason for the breaking of the talk between Adelman and Morey.

People still talk about lame excuses like:
Adelman didn't have the patience to wait for the Rockets to rebuild.
Adelman didn't like the way Morey changed the roster.
Adelman didn't want to use Morey's analytics for his coaching decisions.
    blah blah blah

The fact is, they asked Adelman to be the interim, grooming a guy of their choosing to be the future head coach. I asked at that time, "Why would any self-respecting coach do that?"

My suspicion has always been, that this was a sure way designed to piss off the coach and have him walk without coming out to say that they (mostly the owner) didn't want to re-sign him.

Ricky Rubio being himself = a marginal NBA player at best.

This is exactly what happened and why I still call the move r****ded. I would rather have Adelman and his staff than any of our current staff. Give Adelman the players he needs and he produces, like any great coach.

Adelman had a "good" staff, but there is no questioning who the figurehead is in his unit and no question that some of them added little to the organization other than holding the clipboard for Rick.

I dont blame the Rockets front office at all for wanting to infuse new talent and coaching styles to the mix. Adelman, as good of a coach as he his, had major flaws in his coaching approach.

Instead of having one coaching style, the Rockets wanted to have different coaching styles that complement the team by all adding something different to the mix.

Its an exploratory approach and it could blow up in their face if the coaches dont see eye to eye, but I believe they have a very good manager of personalities in McHale and could end up much better on the defensive end while losing next to nothing in player development and offensive play calling.

Adelman got the most he could out of the current unit, but its clear to see that he is not the answer longterm.

At this point, whats the risk???

Hell yes, it is typical p***y management by Les Alexander.

He wanted Rick out of town, but did it in a way to where he could hold up his hands and go "Well we tried" and all the sheeple would be ok with it.

Ridiculously poor management. I feel for Morey having to tote the company line for such a snake like owner.

I really wish Les would sell the team....the City deserves better.

    Adelman playing rookies?

It'll be the 2nd half of the season before he gives substantial playing time to Rubio.

are all of adelmans former assistants going to follow him to minessota?

if not, then it was a dumb decision to walk off the job in order to retain assistants that aren't going to be retained in the job switch.

stupid les is stupid for not letting adelman hold the rockets future hostage.
